GBPAUD H4 Oct 31

Example of CONSOLIDATION using the price bar / candle on a 5-Method chart template.
Look for big candle which are Wide Range Bar WRB and near support and resistance and that BRN 1.6100.
Of course, you can say Big E never mention WRB in all his posts so it is not TMS.

Look carefully at the charts below, those TDI crosses are useless to trade when the price is in consolidation

Would 1.59800 be considered a breakout of the consolidation? Or 1.59500 area?

Hello,

I don' t think i have seen the response to this. In any case, i will take a shot at answering.

I see the following reasons why Big E might not take this trade:

1. Green just entering the volatility bands, and price tends to consolidate in this case. If price line brakes the volatility bands, it means a strong move took place. After a strong move, it is normal for price to "rest" a bit, people taking profits and preparing for another rally maybe.

2. "Am i in uptrend or downtrend? Short and long term?" - for AUDCAD - long term we are in buy trend. However, we just had a strong move down, seen on PA as well as TDI where green broke volatility bands. Due to the fact that short term is bearish, Big E might wait for another buy signal? Wait for the Big bullish trend to resume?

3. Big round number right above, 1.0200. Not safe to buy into resistance.

Most traders lose money when they take TDI trades when market is in consolidation. Big E was right that he mention many times that we should not take a TDI trade when the market is in consolidation. But they way he identify consolidation is not very clear.

read all his 31 posts on "consolidation" and see if you can figure out the way he identify consolidation and avoid trading the TDI setups.

Hi Bill,

You are quite right with your analysis. I would not take that trade too with the nearby resistance and that BRN.

But I know Big E would not trade on NY Sunday open.

Hi Emm,

On GBPAUD, I see many Master candle low around 1.5985 area. My 4H candle closes in 30 minutes, and if I see it closed below that level, I am planning to go short.

My question is I don't see any master candle on tour chart. Don't you use them any more?

How many times must we refer newbies to BigE's post.
Newbies will so much more benefit from live trading chart's the moment the order is placed with plain english why it was taken. I know I benefit every time I post a live chart with an live order because it reinforce what I have learned. Look at one of my previous post of an order taken last week Friday.
red cross up, green cross down, look at bar 10 to 25 that yellow so an support., that yellow circle so an check mark. I know what APB, VB, Price line means. Will it not be better just to call APB "candle going up" "candle going down" or do we refer newbies to read Synergy_Basic.pdf (file:///C:/Users/Tekkies/Downloads/SYNERGY_Basic.pdf) . Which will be better of course.
When a newbie stable on to TMS the abbreviations will take a better part of study up. When BigE talked about E/U it took me a couple of seconds to figure out he was referring to EURUSD and not something inside TMS that I missed. How many times did you explained MS/MS, MM/MM.

Point in case.
Now the newbie can ask me questions. There is no hindsight explaining only what the chart tell me that might happen in the future. This is learning. Not old charts. This has most of #post 647

edit: i just get home and check my GBPCAD chart, 1 position got SLed.. still had one on DD..
i read about ME in TMS, but it didnt talk much about averaging on losing position.

You can't have one trade hit stop loss and add another ME.me trade as well...

if your building a position, normally you have 5 entries placed, so the Stop loss is Above all these entries and it is placed if a sudden move occurs against your position, normally a ME.Me trade (all open positions) is closed once invalidation of the setup your taking occurs depending weather it is on a day chart or weekly..
