yeah, you`re right that the sma went through the last candle, BUT on my chart the day closed under the sma.
we only go long when the candle closed above the sma.

Sorry for you on this trade but I guess it is an additional demonstration that long wicks are probably the best filter to avoid bad positions, better than the 5,3 sma from my point of view.

It happens is part of trading, I've had long wicks like reversals stopped me out before, I had a tight stop loss anyway, lost 33 pips. I totally see what you mean though.

Hi , I see that your G/N is stopped out , my N/C is still in trade , but it's not looking great either ..One way or another , I think that's a good observation with these few candles instead of just one , but we never now , if it's a reverse setup for an opposite trend which is forming or if it's just a correction like on your G/N
