Further more, we never even ended up with a drop of Iraq's oil. What I do know is that many contracts were awarded for restoring infrastructure projects that US forces destroyed going in, which they made a killing at. Also charging the US government three times the normal cost of things was Halliburton's MO. The oil that Iraq produced, was sold and an account was set up in which was consider public coffer trust and money that would eventually be used in the future reconstruction of Iraq. Things like Military equipment was sold to the Iraqi Government in which the Oil revenues were used to pay for. Halliburton did the same with infrastructure rebuild services such as rebuilding the electrical grid, Water, and Fiber optic networks to nae a few were some examples they made a killing at. Oh and we won't mention the missing money mysteriously disappearing to the tune of 18 trillion dollars which is a travesty unto itself, the point is the military was being used by the external players like Halliburton looking to exploit a manufactured crisis. As the common saying goes, war is highly profitable enterprise, this is one of many observations I made when I was in Iraq. I can tell you even more but that is still in classified non disclosure status.

I agree with you, our monetary system is too loose but not as loose as China's, and it is certainly a lot better. I agree with you that the US/UK coalition going into Iraq in hindsight was wrong, but we have a significantly better record of tackling human rights than Sadaam, and have been indeed pioneers. I agree with you that our own media is biased, but that Russia today is literally the mouthpiece of the kremlin. And I agree with you that we should be looking for alternative sources but zerohedge is at best sensationalist click-bait in the pursuit of money or at worst a Russian lead disinformation operation.

I seriously doubt that! The numbers just don't add when considering our output in current terms. This is something of course I will be looking further into, but to be honest I have no time due to currently being involved with a start-up company that requires a lot of my time lately. I would also be interested to know of your perspective as it relates to the markets of FX and whether or not you think there is any manipulations going on. This will at least give me a sense on how you think about things like this.

How do quantify "Good faith" and to call it a thing? It is more or less a handshake, and I don't think I am not wrong for asserting that the US dollar is backed by nothing.
China and being backed by gold, is true in terms of not being verified, however even though I quoted an article that is dated from 2010, it is without a question that China has been hoarding a copious amount of Gold and Gold mines in which would seem to have many believe that they now probably own the worlds largest percentage of Gold reserves. That being said, having recently been accepted into the basket of funds at the IMF to qualify for being a reserve currency, there is a strong case to be made that the Yuan can be backed by gold if there was such a plan. Also the Chinese never giving up manipulating their currency, maybe be true as in old habits die hard, but at some point they will be forced to change due to the suggested renegotiated trade deals with the US and it already seems to becoming a hot topic as one of Trump's proposals. He had announced in his Historical Gettysburg address as of yesterday as one of the things he will do in his first 100 days in office if he is elected by listing China as a currency manipulator.

Can you be a little bit more specific in what you are referring to? Tin foil hat? I understand Verve that you have a penchant for having an Analytical way of thinking, this in a way is where we are a like, however having conversations or sharing ideas you require verification of the facts, in that sense it presenting a case in linear fashion. However that being said there are exceptions to the rule where a particular subject matter doesn't always provide hard verifiable facts, but nuances of pieces of the investigative nature of discussions that inspires to explore more and uncover said such truths. Tin Foil hat kind is one in which describes the paranoid extreme type I hardly think discussions in this thread can be characterized as such. This is a forum for discussion, a sharing of ideas, not a court room where the threshold of evidence is weighed to determine a particular verdict. To be honest that video does have some holes in it as you suggest, but not all of the points it makes are false either. To dismiss outright is not being fully objective. So in other words the proper filters must be applied in order to arrive to ones own conclusions on what are erroneous and what are factual claims.

The truth is Saddam didn't have any and is speculated but not confirmed that a lot of them were smuggled into Syria. This of course is something I highly doubt but I am not 100% certain about this, because it was never confirmed.
Also the "Sandwich" strategy was not for Iraq, it was for Iran and Afghanistan operations, Iraq presented that opportunity from a strategic standpoint. Also I was there when our forces took over for the Brits in Basra. Just look at a map you will see why this was an important location. Obviously your own forces thought high enough of it to secure and occupy it and so did the US forces
Speaking of British forces. They are excellent at Kinetics but lousy at reconstruction. We were the opposite in that regards and we weren't as fit as the Brits as the saying goes. In other words they are an excellent soldier. What I admire most about them is their spartan approach as opposed to our forces need to bomb everything beyond recognition and rebuild it again.
I can tell you more on the evolution of our equipment as examples of adapting to the battlefield conditions.
