I like your views. This is exactly how I think before entering a trade. Like you said in post 6,400, this analysis gave you an early entrance in usd/cad.. I did the same thing with E/G I entered @0.8990 and posted here in post 5,996.. hopefully someone other than me entered when I gave the signal.

the only reason i was earlier is that i am on GMT -5, the majority here are GMT +2 i think, i try to swing between the two as Oanda has that facility when you log in
i have now closed with a nice profit as Oanda spreads are huge over the weekend, does your head in when you are trading at 5 dollars + per pip

Yeah, i determine my position size depending on my stop loss, it's a way of protecting my capital now. When I open a position from $5 to $10 a pip is the higher I gone, it start messing your head up.. hahaha! I am in central time anyways, I use Oanda also. But I entered earlier on E/G was because of my personal tweak to the system, and of course like you said the timing of different brokers.

Yes, watch it on 1 minute chart, then 5 minutes as time goes on, look for a 50% pullback to enter in the direction of the move, it's as old as the hills

But sometimes, the initial move is wrong or fake out, have tight stops

this is really good advice.
is this means multi time frame for confirmation entry?
50% pullback is based on what time frame? is Daily TF?

50% of the move caused by the news

you will see that price is flat before the news, just choose the nearest low point, then wait for the move, pick the highest point after about 15 minutes or so

with this latest CAD news, not enough retracement to act on this time

This week has been good, too bad for GU trade, but hey.. you can't win them all.

Closed trades:

GU - 100
AU + 41
NU + 63
EN + 277
total: + 281

Open trades:

GC + 131
EG + 10
AN + 55

Overall since i started trading this system i'm a little in the positive teritory, this is all still to see if it works for me, still some testing weeks to go.
So far still positive!
Persistence will get it. Consistency will keep it.

This week has been good to me too.

E/J +161 reached target at 82% level @113.06--- alone brought 38.5% equity growth to my account
A/U +42 closed early, was supposed to close at 77.00 but hesitated with china GDP news

Total: 203

So far this month I have 222 pips in green!
