Sorry PipThePanda but I have to disagree, there was a real risk and you would probably have thanked Fadhl if the outcome of the CPI release was on the wrong side of your trades I guess...

Sorry to insist , this is my third and last attempt to get an explanation from you about the MAs on your charts recently because it is a bit misleading.

The orange/gold one is seemingly SMA5,3 but what is the navy blue line and how do you use it please, because it was neither mentioned in your inital post nor in the "experiment" alternative.

You can disagree..... BUT its a fact.

He identified that the news was going to have a big impact on the market. With this strategy we do not take the news into account. But lets give credit where its due!

However if the CPI figures were weaker than expected all of our stop losses would have been triggered straight away. As long as you are placing them in alignment with the rules.

This time we were on the right side of the impact. So happy days .

Orange is SMA5,3. Navy blue is SMA5,0. The 3 dark line is default BB. Hope it clarify your issue.

I'm concerned about is how he determine cross for SMA5,3 and SMA5,0. Do it consider crossover when a single candle cut across both SMA or do SMA5,0 cross over to SMA5,3? And also do we wait for the closure of the candles to determine the trade? Because from what I see it is not the case on the testing of this new addons. Hope someone can assist me to identify it out.
