You need to relate the London Open and NY Open to your particular MT4 time and then change the time parameters in the set file to conform to your requirements.

The default values give 1220 MT4 time as the end of the lookback period (4 periods = 20 mins) also change the time values as required for the validity of the signal - 1220 to 1255.

You could use an "or3" connection to incorporate both Market Opens but given your level of understanding, it is probably better that you use 2 separate EA's (use separated Magic Number seeds)

I can't be any more specific because you haven't provided sufficient detail such as your Broker's MT4 time zone and required duration of orders.

Issue: "Auto Trade" mode would not execute (newly discovered trades cadidate from scanner) trades
I'm running "Auto Trade" mode on one chart, and "Scanner" mode on another chart; Both with the same settings.
When "Scanner" discovered new trade candidate, "Auto Trade" chart should execute the trade, but that is not so.
Notice from image bellow: "Scanner" has aquired multiples trades candidates since 23:03 onward, but non is being executed.
Again, im running 2 instances of Variable EA; one is "Auto Trade" mode, another is "Scanner" mode; both with same settings.

Thanks Dave for the great work you are doing for all of us, one question, to change parameters and numbers dont know what they stand for, can you made a video or explaining about those changes how that works, Thanks.

Scanner signals are always generated when the entry criteria is matched whereas signals are ignored in Auto when an existing trade is open.

I will have to check your assertion in the no trades situation because the logic is common and you have not given me both diagrams.

No that is not correct.
You have the hours input in the days position and the relevant time is the end of the period not the start for htm and ltm. Should be htm 0 9 20 4.

Nominated Value for time (tm) however should start at 0 9 20 0.

Have just realized that a diagram has dropped from Post #1. Will restore that when I can find my copy.

One solution i got is to re-attached to the EA to the chart every 10min or so, and hit "auto trade" to achieved my intention, but that's not practical.

Thanks for your input.

That is exactly what I was looking for and there is obviously a mistake in my coding which I will investigate and fix. (may take a couple of days!)
General update at Post #1.

  1. Addresses the issue in Post #108
  2. Adjustment to the graph display for Low Res screens
  3. Adjustment to Sell Entry logic.

Check each chart to see if the boundaries were breached between 1220 - 1255

I have noticed when back testing different parameters, I can get same values for best win/ worst loss ?

Is this a back test issue only do you think? see attached.

let me clarify
when I Test parameters and then change them back to smaller settings, as above, the win / loss values stay at the higher levels as you can see.
Only when I reload ea is this rectified. Hope that explains it better.
