I had the same issue, but after Enabling "Allow DLL Imports" in expert properties it worked.

Thanks for your input. I have now highlighted this in Post #1.

There is a call within the code to Shell32.dll which opens the Registration page.

Hi Dave

Thanks for this very well programmed EA. I really look forward to test it.

I have a question about this line:
456200 eq 2.0 1.0 7 5 1000 USD list VariableRangeBreakout
456200(whats this number?)
1000 USD(should this be changed to actual equity and currency? like i did here)

Thanks in advance
Sune

456200 is the seed number for generation of Order Magic Numbers. The Order Magic Number of your first instrument would be 456200. For example, if you had a list of 9 instruments, the 9th Instrument would have an Order Magic Number of 456208. You can of course use any Magic Number (of integer value) as the seed.

The 10,000 relates to your starting equity only for backtesting and optimization purposes and the USD relates to your Base Currency for calculation of lots.

For example if you were trading with $AUD10,000 equity using a 2% equity percentage buying EURUSD with 200:1 Account Leverage -
The lots calculation for the order would be 10000 * 2(Equity %) * 1.4599(AUDEUR) / 200(Account Leverage) / 10000

The data used for backtesting is sourced from your server and is the last 3 months of data relevant to the default time frame.

Stop Losses are calculated before any Take Profit so the view of performance is actually the most pessimistic.

For example, if you had a buy trade opened at 1.0000 with a 10 pip SL and TP (a scenario actually which could be quite logical in this concept) and there was a subsequent bar - Open 1.00023 High 1.00154 Low 0.99858 Close 1.00042, that trade would be deemed as a Stop Loss even though the Take Profit figure was achieved during the bar.

Thanks for Ea. Since yesterday it did not take any order. I changed now to fl like this. Is it ok?

456200 fl 0.05 1.0 7 5 10000 AUD list VariableRangeBreakout. As my equity is less so I want 0.05 lot. Please guide me.

Yes. That is correct.

No trades could possibly mean that there was no breakout of the range within the time specified in your parameters.

If you are using 2% as risk equity on say $500 that would in .01 lots. (minimum lot size)

Trying on $400 would result in no trade (unless trading in micro lots)
