Admittedly my experience of American cars have all been hire cars whilst over there plus also what others have said. I guess reputation sticks for a while. The Ford Mondeo is actually a fantastic car and for the money could almost rival the BMW 5 series, so I give you that . The handling on the Mondeo is superb and very responsive.

My first car was a Golf, haha. But I wouldn't buy VW now. They seem quite unrefined and then there's that emissions thing. I love the look of Audis but they are just so noisy!

What is the price of fuel in the US at the moment? We're about £1.15 a litre, France is €1.20-1.40 so not that much in it (not last night!) Put up the price of fuel to our levels and you can pay off your national debt.... Putting up the price of fuel in America is on par with getting rid of the second amendment .

Ok, I'm going to be a little bit of a devil's advocate here. Now you know where I stand on the political scale and that's probably more to the right than most. Assume then I wasn't. Assume I didn't care much about politics. More like most then?

I see Hillary as a motherly type; she will listen and make you feel better when you hit a bad patch, maybe someone you can confide in.
Obama is a gentleman. He will open doors and have impeccable manners. Approachable.
Bill Clinton is a charmer and will always say the right things. He will try hard to gain your trust.

Now Trump. I wouldn't go near him with a barge pole! He is unpredictable, volatile and comes across as a misogynist! He's a major turn off for women.

You may have a problem there.

I never heard of the Mondeo. There are some cars that are sold over seas that are not available to US consumers. For example, the Chrysler 300 Diesel which Singapore has quite a few, but we can't get them, which is an awesome car.

We buy by the gallon. (yes I know the old imperial system, ha!) We current pay around 2.20 Us Dollars per gal, but that varies depending on what state you are in due to Taxes.

Same engine as the X type Jaguar. It's what I have at the moment. That's why I know it so well . It drives best when I'm alone and I can really throw it around, no weight and no one to be sick!

1 US gallon = 3.7854 litres
That would be £4.35 a gallon for you. Not that much at the moment, but when it was $2 to 1 ....
1.15 / litre is pretty cheap. Not long ago it hit 1.50 / litre. £5.68 a gallon? It's about time you paid more for your fuel!!!

Everything is cheaper in the US, about 20%. You pay a lot less in income tax too. At 100k a year salary, a UK worker would be 2k a month better off.

It is all part of the secret government plan to reduce the number of motorcyclists. This has come about due to the number of young riders doing serious damage to themselves as technology has outpaced their abilities.

Go for direct access on a 500cc, otherwise you will just have to keep paying and wondering why.....

About the fuel part, no we shouldn't pay more, we produce a lot of own Oil. We currently import about 70% with 40% coming from Canada. Also considering that we have such much untapped Oil at the moment, (with also a recent discovery in Alaska that would potentiall produce 100 million barrels a month we really don't need to import. One of Trump's plans is to become energy independent, which would be good for our economy. Now factor that aspect alone into the Globalist meme and you can understand why they want to stop Trump?

Also on the taxes, if you add the amount of taxes we pay, Corporate, Federal, State, Capital gains, Estate, and sales tax, plus the double tax American's living abroad have to pay, we pay the most in the world. If we are just talking about just straight income tax, then yes we pay less, but with all the other taxes we are forced to pay it is pretty much a moot point.

Oh that car. Ok, I have seen that one before, just don't know it by name. Ha! Nice!

Honda's is pretty awesome. Their resale value is also pretty good, due to the fact their engines are practically indestructible and can run forever. The Honda Goldwing is legendary!

Oil will be obsolete as soon as they sort out battery life. The electric motor is far superior than any petrol or diesel. That's just round the corner.

Then what will the government do about all that fuel duty they will lose? Hmm.

Sorry can't agree on anything you said about Hillary or Obama. Nope! They are just plain wrong! One is a narcissist and the other is just down right evil. Oh and they both have in common as being socio paths, NEO-Cons, liars, and murderers and can't balance a budget if their life depended on it. Trump is unfairly characterized as a Misogynist that is purely made up from main stream media, and his portrayed character on the highly successful show "The Apprentice". Trump is tough, but he is fair. Did you see his family? His three kids are pretty amazing and successful in their own right. Evanka, turned down a 7 figure modeling career to focus on business. She is extremely impressive for a Millennial Eric and his brother are equally impressive and well mannered and spoken.

You will still need Oil no matter what, but the demand for it will diminish with the advent of new technologies. But for the interim it will be enough to pay down our debt in the next 4 to 8 years and create jobs.

It was the way Trump portrayed himself which really turned me off him as a person, mocking Hillary. I just wondered how many more would have thought the same as I did, but the difference being, they have a less strong political viewpoint than I have.
