I have three trading systems to trade different Market Types.

I started stock trading in 1980's using EOD on Day chart.
Then I learn to trade intraday using H1 and M15 chart timeframes by X-man and LE1.
Since knowing Big E TMS 5-Method, I also trade H4.

CONSISTENCY is one very important component to a WINNING EDGE. It can only be measure after many years of trading. Someone once wrote that it takes a minimum of 5 years trading to be able to see some consistency. And that's the point someone must sell if you want to buy - this is market
For me div is when chart has up/down trend and oscilator has down/up trend and it happend on H4 chart.
TDI H4 did sell signal - and on daily chart we have nice pin bar in resistance zone.
Next move is to wait for nice bounce signal on H4 - hope to build position in 1,6950-1,70 zone with SL above daily pin bar.
Is that make sense?

I believe I know the answer to this one Emmanuel. You have the winning edge when you can feel the rhythm of the market and you find it easy to quess the direction of the move. Sometimes I am in that zone and it feels that the signals hit me in the head like a sledge hammer. However these moments of enlightments for me only seem to flicker on and off on for most trading days with some losses slowing down my process and bringing me back to reality. But holy cow, it does feel good.

Reading your posts, you have said that each trader must find their own edge
and also that the edge is not only one but a combination of factors:

1. Method:

Find a trading method that gives you confidence and match your temperament.

2. Money Management

Use a proven MM strategy and position sizing so you keep losses small and let profits run.

3. Consistency

Have good skills reading PA and know how to apply it consistenly, also having a consistent approach in defining the market type so you can know when to buy, when to sell or when to stand aside and wait for the opportunity.

4. Mental Fitness

The most important since you must not let that emotions interfere with your trading rules.
You must keep calm when you're losing so you can patiently start the recovery.
And even stay calm when you're winning so you don't think, you'll become rich overnight.


Then I guess you'll know if you have the winning edge when knowing these points, you develop your own trading system which fits your personality and you have consistent results using it.

hey fiborek - that makes sense ..... its more like a overall div ..... but 4 our noobs these r examples of bear / bull div's

im not using the MEME strategy caah <- just 2 b clear - im just using Big E core ........ IMO MEME is incompatible wit TMS [ http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...29#post9011629 ] .........

...... also IMO recovery systems [there is many of them not just the 1 used in MEME ..... read Hanover's excellent review [includes martingale - grids - hedge etc]] not only go against Big E's core but could b mega damaging 2 noobs psychology .......
