Now at 1245, EU should go down towards 1225 again today or tomorrow during asian session for another long opportunity. Unless Yellen says something crazy about a rate hike, but she never did and has no reason to say so today. So looking stricky at technicals, move back to 1225 is normal for a healthy bull move. And then 1285 tomorrow.

So, June 14' then Dec 96' was the last time we had a trading range less than this month. 204 pips now vs. 195 and 201 respectively. A trading range this small has only happened once in the effective "digital era." A few times in the past 240 mths. (20 yrs.) EUR/USD has sub-250 pip ranges but very few. Basically, I'm thinking, the pair will go above 1.135x or below 1.11x by close tomorrow. I'm long EUR @1.1211 (For the curious).

Any thoughts?

That would be great.. Forex is boring as it is!!! Add to that a tight range and its murder..!!!! lol

Interesting view...maybe later Yellen helps going out of this range, otherwise you'll have to add one more for the stats..

If that stat is added; to my next conclusion would be that it signals a breakout of this range. Post the two examples cited there was a >1000 pip move over the next 90 days (~1100 june 14' and ~1500 dec 96') I do not see a move towards parity so....Long EUR it is.

There's some traders in forums, defending, that technically, there's room for us to see 1.2 and above, that's inline with your perspective of a big move, me personally, don't see it happening, but sometimes the market's are mad cows. Maybe this is an accumulating phase and then it explodes...who knows...

Done, that was faster than expected, so standing by and watching, my short has a SL in profit now and just watching, if it keeps dropping further. If it slows down here for a couple hours, I will go long as planned.

EDIT: 1221 is enough, closing my short from 1245. Long again from 1221. I am too impatient and also leaving the house, so no time to watch it...I will set a SL of 14 pips, so I keep 10 pips profit, if it blows up.

EDIT2: If my SL(1207) survives this hour, I will set a target of 1285 for tomorrow and take tomorrow off.

At 1.12 52 wave C would be equal to w. A from the lows of Wedn. 1.11 81.....

They managed to end it 4 pips prior to equality... where a LOT of traders would commit short....

This stab lower is perhaps an indication of future outcome .

USD index retesting 95.50 on the way up, but that level should stop the retrace and we should head back down now...if Yellen makes it drop below 95, long live EU/GU longs...for 200 pips easily.

Me, too, I would like to short 1430 into 670. So we need to get bears out of the way by spiking this up first. USD index may fall to 92.50-93, once 95 breaks and that should be more than enough for 1430. After that USD index can go to 99-100 even for EU to drop to hell.
