AUDNZD Week 39:

Not a pair I trade but I follow this to see the composite strength of the AUD and NZD pairs.

An now rest at BRN 1.0500 also a previous Support which was broken in Aug 2016.

H4 is in a retracement now and we shall see if this pair goes sideways in the coming weeks.

In the james16 thread, you will learn many thing about price action trading. I believe they call that FTA=First Trouble Area.
that thread is huge, started in 2005 and is now 139k posts.

Let's try use EURCAD current status and look at different timeframes.

D1 chart:

D1 chart traders may favour Buy trades since both the PA and TDI is in favour of of TMS traders. However, we must be caution with market events this week and also the FTA I mention in the post above.
Also note the previous 2 days Day range. The ATR(100) D1 is about 115 pips, and both Friday and Monday candle have exceeded this ATR(100) D1.
But looking at the H4 swing since Monday low, it had reached 160pips or 47% of the ATR(52) W1 which is 337pips. Most trending week will see 60% of the ATR(52) W1. So we may have some room for more upside this week unless the news in the coming days turn positive for CAD.

H4 chart:

H4 is selling as most traders will consider the OB region as good setup for sell.

H1 chart:

H1 traders will stand aside now as PA is near the BRN and also the APB candles body shows consolidation.

M15 chart:

M15 traders will tend to look for buy as the TDI/RSI is in oversold region, but this against the H4.

This week is overall challenging for CAD.

Hope this helps explain what Hayden was trying to explain the perspective of traders in different timeframes.
But take note he is talking about eh stock market all the time which is a 9-hours market unlike forex which is 24-hours.
Forex market has certain behaviour around which market session opens and closes. This is different from the stock market which open once per day, trades for 9 hour then it closes by end-of-day.

No, i don't.

TDI is returning into the bands after a strong movement, so there is a good chance to see the price in sideway moves for the next hours.

Hi Seniors,

I read BigE full document, he used 5 ema, shift 3 and typical but I downloaded "#1 best 5 ma tdi.tpl" then it has 5 sma, shift 2 and typical. I wonder which one is the right one to use now.

Took this trade today on a live account and lost. Can anyone tell me why?

Open a chart that had said order, Open Account History, right click on said order (hold click in), drag order to chart.

I'd like to share my opinion about this trade, but i strongly suggest you to wait for Emmanuel to confirm or not.

First of all, you are in a strong uptrend with a consolidation zone (H4) just below your entry.

Second, the candle you traded has a small body if compared with the previous 3 blue bar.

Third, CAD was very weak in all pairs, USD was much stronger.
