Gold and Silver is moving north in a way that I don't really like... A strong move like this before FOMC is quite tricky.. I've a long position in Silver since last Monday.. Hopefully price will continue to move higher after FOMC..

I don't think the Fed has the guts to raise the rate and crash the stock market, so I'm guessing it will stay the same and metals will rally. But then again, who knows. Japan kind of surprised us last night.

Are you holding long-term? Or just trying to catch FOMC spike/profit?

Just for a weekly TF swing, my estimation is around 3-5 weeks for this trade to reach my TP if it works out. I do not consider it as long term but it might be a long term trade for other traders..

Going well above 1324, it might take a visit to 1335 then fomc will decide, i think it ll go south. Im still bearish till fed raises.

Gold still seems bullish to me. First target is 1500, I'm thinking likely within next few months...

I mean, yellen will decide. I think what she said ll be much important since mostly thinks they wont raise today. I also doubt they raise on Nov since there ll be election.

But does it really matter? I think everyone knows the rates have to go up. The longer they continue lower will just encourage more money pile into hedge investments, since they know it's like a spring being held back, and once it's let lose, it will be like a rocket ship...

Anyway, this is just my opinion (bullish on gold). But I mainly focus on the overall market fear that has been developing, along with my technical view...

You got a point, also since we follow reaction and dont trade as long as our view last. I never hold a position more than a month, and i think most of us also wont. Also, i think than most of us avoid trading around important news(i even stare blankly on my phone here - thats just too fast to trade). News trader kinda rare, you need more guts to trade that kinda move. I just saw more than $1 spread, almost 5 times usual spread on my broker.

The tone of her speech take longer for market for market to absorb. After looking at dot chart and knowing 3 members saw no hike this year vs 1 which expect 3.75% in 2019, gold might have some more room north. But still, i dont think it ll go to $1500 this year. Everyone free to have his view, these difference what makes forum like this lively. If everyone agree that ll be boring, and it ll be harder to make money(imagine everyone selling and no buyer vice versa).😉

I don't trade gold directly but it looks pretty dang bullish to me. The Fed seemed to chicken out AGAIN.

Hey everyone,

I like this thread, maybe this is just what I need. I just got back to live trading after a long break of only trading a demo account. I have blown through a few live accounts, never lost too much but it defiantly stings. Anyway, like I said, maybe a little peer pressure will keep me inline and will help me stick to my trading plan
