{quote} Thanks for the explanation and in your case you stick to rule 2. What is your policy on the amount of profit you take on the first part of your trade?

If your SL was 50 pips then your TP is 50 pips. That is what SL=TP means.
So many in the Commercial section want to make me rich! :o

{quote} I feel like for these sorts of situations by holding onto these positions we are taking a gamble hoping that the trade will go our way. This kind of goes against our rule for no sideways entry. In theory anyone who didn't take the trade initially could have jumped in at any point during the last few days and still be in the same position we are for holding onto the initial trade. No?

Interesting point by FX-Flux, if an entry point was taken by others and you can buy in at a price that is advantageous to the original price (the price of the piercing signal candle) surely that would be ok? As all these types of trades count towards the mean overall pip count?

Thanks Civitas, I think you have highlighted original point, Fx-Flux wanted to ask.

Answer is no, once we miss the setup we should wait for next signal. I think majority of traders are losing because they are not disciplined and consistent. we may gain quick pips or lucky for time being but that will destroy our long term startegy.

USDCAD Trade Idea

Currently, USDCAD price is crossing SMA5 and looks an appealing SHORT position. But I suggest you guys should avoid entry till news. Price will spike higher. If Fed doesn't hike rate (which seems more and more likely), you can place enter position on the spike or you can put limit orders and take a good entry.

All the best and happy trading.

Hi H
are you suggesting to enter before the Daily Candle close, if you are then it is right on 131334 my daily support line Oanda, thats why you should not encourage anyone especially the new guys to take a trade until the new daily candle opens, if i am wrong please advise

Congrats to all! I've been reading through this thread and I really like the potential of this system. For those of you who have been trading this system for over a month, how many trade setups are you seeing on average per week?

just to make it look more clear you should add BB, red arrows only if candle close is above middle line and green arrows only if candle close is below
