EUR/USD has formed a double bottom on the one-hour time-frame above the support at 1.1150. The pair will likely start retracing the drop from last Friday and the first target is around 1.1200 again.

One of the recent facts that I understood is that price will move in your predicted direction if the analyses was proper. However there are certain traps:

1. It will take longer of the box range trading
2. There could be a spike in the opposite direction up to 100 points (that's what I think we will see this week to 1.1100)
3. Or price action will form a set-up that seems to null your initial movement (in any direction)

The way I see it for next 2 days:

Today 1.1200-1.1215
Tomorrow 1.1120-1.1100 then up...

What about wave 4 being in price range of wave 1? (I just started to study EW's and this question kinda poped out)

Good remark, i didn't noticed that before, but in my opinion, it doesn't change anything.. Its market, u know, some EW rules which was proper in early times, in our days are just simply ignored by it...:nerd:

1. The last Friday candle down doesn't look like leg 5 of the shorter time frame. It's more like leg 3, so I expect, most likely, a spike down - which will be leg 5 of the retracement.
2. It also seems that we must touch a third time the lower side of the upward channel
3. With the news this week it is also seems likely that we test some areas lower down since we will need more volatility/space and will not just limit to staying within the existing wave 2 on your chart

But the problem of waves is that we have to chart every single wave from monthly to 10-minutes to be confident about the move. I've just started and it will take me another day to do so.

Bigger waves are of bigger time frames. It must not close lower/higher.

So you need to chart monthly, then daily, 3 hourly and 10-minutely waves (the latter is kind of hard). If your wave 2 or 4 overlaps with 1 or 3, check if its the correct time frame.

Sometimes IT SEEMS like rules are broken but i don't think it happens if you chart correctly. Just takes a lot of time (2-3 days) to just contemplate the price action and see the waves.

Yes.. I know those times when you have to change your analysis after fighting with the market for a bit, then you say to your self "hey, that doesn't look right to me now, does it!!!"..

You usually will have to wait to join the market's direction at a good opportunity after that!! Jumping in is not a good idea most of the time...
