Errr try not to rely so much on sma... i hav loss quite some money these 2weeks .. market is undecided.. try to position urself at lows and highs instead of just moving averages break outs.

Hey danboy2.

Stick to the majors and leave the monors and exotics alone and this system will reward you. Another piece of advise, trade this system exactly as described by b8k and you will be OK, deviate and you will burn your ass/

Hello to all new traders and everyone following this thread. 
 
First, stop trying to add anything to this "style". If you want to add anything do it on your own time and own platform, test it out for a few months and if you see any serious increase in profitability or weeding out of false signals. Bring it up with the test results so you have an argument to add. Don't just ask a question like you found some magic trick and want a pat on the back for it. Lol
 
Second, stick the rules. A little discretion is needed for this style of trading. Knowing when not to take a trade is just as important as knowing when to take a trade. If you don't know how to interpret price action or don't know anything about S/R or know when a pair is trending or ranging. I suggest you read up on it and practice with this style until you can read the price action well. There is no system or style out here that will compensate your lack of basic knowledge in the markets in these areas.
It's like trying to take an exam for a class you know nothing about. Only study the prep tests and then complain about how you failed because all the answers weren't on the prep test you studied. Trading takes work and to be profitable it takes a lot of work.
 
I suggest you read YTC price action by Lance Beggs Volumes. Two and three. One of my favorite sets.

You're right, of course, but I think the "You may" lines 3, 4, & 5 are merely suggestions and not hard rules

Take Profit/Exit

  1. Take 2 positions of same setup, and close the first setup after taking profit and leave the another setup to run forever
  2. Keep moving SL for second setup as per S&R
  3. You may exit when candle touches/cross BB top/bottom line.
  4. You may exit if you have minimum 3 candles profit as part of 1:3 strategy.
  5. You may exist on break even if setup goes in opposite direction.

It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

take note everybody - exactly my opinion.........

but people cant help themselves - they always want to tinker with everything.

seriously, why not open a seperate thread for those people so they can vent all their "knowledge" and keep this thread clean???
