Good day and thanks for the simple strategy. But you didn't mentioned whether need to buy or sell. How to know whether to buy or sell?

If the candle that breaks SMA is a bull(buy) candle then we look to buy.

if the candle that breaks SMA is a bear(sell) candle then we look to sell.
i have tried to start trades with a trend, now i prefer to follow the trend

good moorning,

some days I am following this system, although EA is not much, do so if it would be interesting, would be a small dashboard that was able to buy and sell, so it was easier and visible to visualize the state from account. (I am currently using the dashboard ASEME)

This new dashboard should be able to go moving the SL 15 pips above the previous candle automatically.

I have this EA attached but must be used in each template and am not able to move my SL 15pips above the previous candle.

Honestly FX-Flux
if it takes more than ten minutes for me to scan through thats a lot, i think the main problem is it invites all other types of indicators and Ea's, i was part of another great thread Mhedi's Stress Free TDi, he has now abandoned the thread, that has really gone to the dogs, it started of great, if you see the indicators and EA's that have been added all the good traders have now left, just look at the latest post here, what a load of codswallop

I don't know if Forexfactory has some sort of thread moderation. This would keep the information about the strategy on its path. I see that Clipi is now bringing another type of EA into the thread. Sooner or later people will start abandon the thread, as the information here won't be related to the strategy anymore.

You are right. I can appreciate where you guys are coming from though, the strategy is simple enough as it is without using dashboards ect.

I am a coder though, so I make tools to make my life easier. Don't worry, I wont be posting any more scripts, indies or EAs in this thread.

I did not mean that people change thread, raised only programmers a possibility of a mini dashboard to buy, sell and use an automatic TS. My image was an example of what was a dashboard. The trades listed are all trying to follow manuals BK8 rules. which does not change the initial SL nowhere.

I entered short NZDCAD, but not with this strategy. Just because I saw it approaching the highest high since 2013, so i expected it to bounce back big time. But this has nothing to do with SMA strategy. I don't want to discuss it here.

Interesting you bring that up....I wrote a dashboard for his initial strategy...i showed it to him BEFORE I released it on the thread (which I never did). Well I find out, he's using a computer with only 4 GB of RAM and the TDI indicator, by the way, is very RAM intensive, so he couldn't run it. Continuing, it worked fine strategy wise until they started discussing bounces and other things you needed to know about TDI. Once they started discussing the TMS aspect of the the TDI, it wasn't stress free any longer. So that's why I'm here now....lol

I have been enjoying this thread since it started and I can say that without even trading the system it has all attributes of a viable method of trading successfully. While it does not promise out of this world order of profits and neither has the OP claimed it can, you will quickly see that it can do so if properly traded - as in managed well.

I want to give a big shout out to all the wonderful contributors, yo have all made this thread really worthwhile. I noticed that there is not much rubbish been said or posted here even by newbies, except for a few who need to learn FX basics first. If you are in that category, pls go take a crash course first in FX or google FX and you will find a good pile of beginner material to learn from.

That been said, let me get to what actually prompted me to write:
1. This strategy is the ideal KISS been spoken about in the FX world but been that as it may it can do with a little help. I am saying in essence that the SCRIPT is needed and NOT a trading EA, Dashboard, etc.
The simple reason is this: a) Do I have to manually go through 28 to 32 if not more, charts when a script can pop it up for me?, saves a bit of time and reduces fatigue, for many people its at night when sleep calls that the daily candle ends, tired from work etc. b) The SCRIPT DOES NOT INTERFERE with any aspect of the system but the tradingEA can and will. c) Even after the script pops up all the relevant charts, you still have to do the REAL work of analyzing which trades to take, all through the lets say 10 charts that the script pops up. etc et etc.
2. I would therefore suggest that only the script that correctly identifies crosses of the SMA be officially adopted as part of the working tools in this thread. We can always do with a little technology in our old lives.
3. The OP should at the 1st Page state clear cut rules for participating in his thread. For example: No EA here pls, No dashboard here pls etc This would help to stop people coming here with a sorts of ehmmmm "codswallop" is it?
4. If the script is allowed, the only working version should be attached to the first page, if there will be any further modifications that would be as agreed by the OP, the coder: based on meaningful suggestions, and should be added to the 1st page either as an addition or replacement of the previous. The SCRIPT should NEVER graduate to becoming an EA.
Hope have not gone beyond my bounds sha.

FINALLY, Ovation goes the Loudest to our dearly beloved OP - Bk8.
What a Wonderful system!! When we all are looking to all sorts to help trading we end up destroying trading itself but here comes this beautiful and very efficient yet tooooo simple a system, glaring us all in the face but never saw it and our Knight in shining armour comes to save the day.

When I want to create trade explorer it just keeps running forever and does nothing.

Already changed investor password in mt4.
