{quote} I agree yonnie on consistency but 2 positions on same pair will help to retain profit incase candle reverse next day and also it would help trader to run second setup forever otherwise trader will be always emotionally charged to close the position whenever candle earns some pips.

Is it better to open two positions or just have one large position and close half of position early to retain profits?

Hello guys, I just want to share my results trading this strategy since August 04. {image} {image} Total of 41 trades, 29 (71%) winners and 12 (29%) losers. Some of those winners were small were 5 pips (break-even trades). Here's something about of how I did it: I was really carefull in filtering sideways setups and candles that shows resistance to the setup direction. Only opened a position when bollinger band were wide open. Ignored weak/small candles or dojis that crossed the SMA-5. Once the position is 20+ pips in profit I moved the SL to 5...

wouldn`t like to call a BE trade (even if its + 5 pips) a winner, because it will make a sytem look better than it really is.
I dont have a 71% win rate at all, let alone 80%.
could you tell me the wins, BE`s and loss percentages please?

Even though the daily is not showing many opportunities right now, the 1hr system is loaded
with trade entries. So- when the daily is slow head to the 1hr.

Sure yonnie, here it is:

From the winners: 12 are BE trades.
From the losers: 5 are BE trades.

So from 41 total trades:

  1. Winners: 17 (41.46%)
  2. Losers: 7 (17.08%)
  3. BE: 17 (41.46%)

Considering only winners and losers, total of 24 trades:

  1. Winners: 17 (70.83%)
  2. Losers: 7 (29.17%)

My current profit factor (for all 41 trades) is 2.29.
The profit factor shows how many times the gross profit (Sum of all the winning trades) exceeds the gross loss (Sum of all the losing trades).

Hey Pipmunks

There was no entry the day before as you can see in the graph it was sidways. (5 Previous candles are all inline with each other.)
Also the cross was not on any movement it was crossed by the new candle opening.

FX-Flux,

Just loaded up your new script and it does open up all my open trades, but it display the moving average as SMA 5,3.

Wasn't sure if this was intentional.

Mitch

{quote} Hello! Can you make this EA public, pls?

Hello everyone! The EA is still being tested.
Trade conditions only consider the cross, also did not consider sideways, long wick, hit the BB channel boundary.
Because my English is too poor, BK said that closed trading conditions I don't completely understand, therefore, only consider exit for the single currency on the profit and the basket trading profit (pips or cash),.
In addition, the BE tracking stop is set, the size of the position can be automatically calculated based on risk.
After a period of testing, I would like to share with you.

Thank you.

A sell entry I took this evening and see how it plays out overnight in the Asia and Europe sessions. Weekly and daily both same direction. Price bounced off zone and weekly TL above. Going to see if price wants to go back down 100+ pips to test the zone and TL below. Weekly and daily both crossing 5 sma. Plenty of room to the bottom BB. {image} {image}

Morning
on my Oanda chart SMA is pointing up, at a slight angle, otherwise i would have taken the same trade on the daily
