I have this EA set for an hourly chart alert and with the new candle 5 minutes back I got multiple alerts (all stating an UP signal)for pairs where where there was no crossover of the hourly SMA upwards, e.g. EUR/NZD and GBP/NZD.. or did I not ynderstand the working of this EA correctly?

Did you set the TF in the EA to be the same as what you attached to the chart? Also there may be an issue when you first attach the EA, because the alert might be a tad late. Let it run and see if it continues to give false signals. I will have a look later.

Yes I attached the EA on an hourly EU chart and also selected hourly TF in EA's settings.. will let it run and let you know if this persists

In my opinion, we should not try to introduce any kind of EA into this strategy. This strategy is suppose to be as simple as possible and take "15min" when the new candle appear.

This 15min to scroll though all the pairs and look with your eyes shouldn't be that difficult at all.

I was previously following the "Trading Made Simple" strategy. I've read through about 20-40 pages of it, then people starts to introduce their "helper" indicator and EAs. Now the tread really became trash in my point of view. BigE introduced his strategy with just 2-3 indicators that he used. Now if you read the most recent posts in that strategy, the number of indicators just exploded. They aren't even use the original indicator that came with MT4. The charts there are a big mess.

Yes, it's a real shame, and it's why so many of the early followers left that thread. I hope Bk8 can keep it from happening here.

i agree with some of that re: TMS thread. apart from the part about them not using the original indicator with mt4 - the main indicator of the thread, TDI, does not come as standard with mt4

if somebody in a hurry just implement buttons with currency pairs in the main window for quick access/switch over so you dont have to drag them to the screen or switch between windows

I have been quietly following your thread for last few weeks and very impressed with your results, simplicity and your excellent attitude. I plan to try your system. I also always look for a daily system where I don't have to be at the computer all the time and with least number of indicators. I have been following this forum for several years and found the thread/system goes down only after we start adding more indicators/lower time frame/EA. Good luck and thanks for sharing. Hopefully, will be able to contribute positively in future.

Only couple of people here with trade explorer. I was quietly looking at yours too . I think you were to to around 22% total return during the day.

At one point today it was at 49% profit for the last two weeks. Now at 19%

Yeah yesterday was very bad day for me too. I am down 10% and trades still open with negative floating balance!

Quite nervous for holding positions or close...

i choosed:

eurgbp sell
usdjpy sell
nzdcad buy ( really important level )

eurjpy looks good as well, but i preferred open eurgbp.
