Hello everyone. I took advantage of yesterday's big bullish hourly candle to add to my short position on this pair. When in a downtrend, I like selling at or near the close of big counter-trend candles. The opposite in a uptrend. Buy at the close of big bearish candles. I prefer to use this method on the daily and weekly charts, but I will look for opportunities in lower timeframes as well

As we can see the trend is moving downward. And at the moment the price is testing the resistance line. This is a good time to sell.

Imho, it's not yet time to sell. The price is on a retracement atm. If the immediate resistance on the 4 H tf is rejected downwards by price action, that may give the cue to trade southwards.

I sold at 1.2900 after it formed a shooting star bar below the resistance at 1.2930 on the one-hour time frame and I am still keeping the short position open.

Following the news today USD/CAD broke above 1.2970 and then above 1.3000. I think next target will be around 1.3080 - 1.3100.

This pair is already looking to hit 1.32. If we continue to get dollar strength and oil weakness this pair should continue to rip higher like how we saw the run up to 1.40, very quickly!
