Here is an idea ripped from other EA's and something that could be of value. The ideas could come in a million different ways and you will end up with the most complicated EA in the world. To me, basic is better as if I were to put a large account, the risk is with code issues and complexity etc., but that obviously depends on many factors.

One option is instead of entering a martingale type entry, enter via multiple entries to total the martingale. This is being done on other EA's, but curious if you have tested this etc..

For instance, 15 pips for next entry, but instead of popping in at one location, it would be 15 pips, and 25 pips etc.. Or, if you have a .12 size order it would go in as .01 orders 12 times across several pips between next range etc.. Just a way to get a deeper move, but like anything that could not work and to me these EA's are more about Money Management then about engineering it for the perfect situation.

If you look at history, several currencies have 1,500 pip moves without appropriate retracement (especially if you don't hit it right).

Just an idea, nothing further.

Another thing that might be useful is to limit the # of entries by TIME also. For instance, instead of disabling around news, why not limit it by time by saying no entries within 20M (Variable) or whatever of each other. That will limit the fast moving market from sucking the brains out.

Two things that will force a blowup. Country does something internal and it goes on a run from hell, and the EA just keeps pumping trades in. Instead of calling a timeout.

for other traders reading this. The EA sells at the blue line after the bid crosses it and if levels are greater than 3, it waits for at least one M1 fractal.

DAX30...EA did a very good job during and after the ECB event today... DAX day range 213 points!

What about instead of hedging, doing like other EA's where you have choice to close out at certain % of drawdown and close all trades. (I know you can put MPTM) etc..

The EG works well, doing it with FIFO and no Hedging, but still good results. I have it at shutting down @ 1% of account or 60K, and so far over last 7 weeks, it has come to about 42K DD or .7%.

To me, closing all positions at 1% or 2% or even 25% of account is better than blowing entire account. Those martingales will add up, and you will see quickly at 356 lots how quickly it will blow an account.

EG is good fun.

This is how I trade, using a step lot, 0.1, 0.1, 0.1, 0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 0.3 etc

the s_WeghtDirection is too new to judge it appropriately, but for safety I do recommend to double the requirements till we find the optimal capital needed.
note I am trading EG104.034a in an small live account using the original requirements and it is going ok so far. (not doubling requirements)

in the existing version, EG104.034, here is how EG104 calculate sizes.

if you enter a multiplier of 1.1 and start qty is 0.01
level1 0.01
level2 0.01 * 1.1 = 0.011 round to the lot minimum step it will be rounded to 0.01
level3 0.01 * 1.1 = repeats level2, and ......... same quantity all levels.

if you enter a multiplier of 1.5 and start qty is 0.01
level1 0.01
level2 0.01 * 1.5 = 0.015 round to the lot minimum step it will be rounded to 0.01
level3 0.01 * 1.5 = repeats level2, and ......... same quantity all levels.

if you enter a multiplier of 1.6 and start qty is 0.01
level1 0.01
level2 0.01 * 1.6 = 0.016 round to the lot minimum step it will be rounded to 0.02
level3 0.02 * 1.6 = 0.03
level4 0.03 * 1.6 = 0.05
level5 0.05 * 1.6 = 0.08
etc, etc

Now, if I do ceil, then multiplier of 1.1 will works like this:
level1 0.01
level2 0.01 * 1.1 = 0.011 rounded up to minimum step it will be 0.02
level3 0.02 * 1.1 = 0.03
level4 0.03 * 1.1 = 0.04
level5 0.04 * 1.1 = 0.05
etc, etc, etc

let me revise it for a bit and I will post a revision here if I do the change.

Your expert most usable for me as a make controls start stop time , avoid on news , day target setting , dynamic grid feature , remembering opened orders after close and reopen of platform or crash internet connection between VPS and broker server ( Good running on stability ) and others.
I'm using version 30.e and I cant use multiply 1.35 or 1.25 or 1.15 on start qty 0.01 . But I can use these multiplies on start qty 0.10 . Meaning , if I make start qty 0.10 I can use any multiply that I want on version 30e.
Ok , I was make a back test on last version ( .34a ) and I'm happy to see that I can use any multiply on start qty 0.01 . It is good news for me . Thank you .
And I will test last version on my account as using my idea . I will share results and if I have any bug here .
