Slippage was brutal with my broker, it filled my order where I placed my take profit, I have to change my broker soon! I got like -20 pips

It happenned to me too, the spread changed from 35 to 165 and stayed like that for about 10 seconds then returned to the original.
I had a winning set up, but I finished witha net loss.
I guess I won't be trading commodities with my broker anymore.

I suspect you're using the same broker as I do, because sounds too familiar.

Too much spread, I had to move my sell stop and buy stop a lot.

Have you guys tried pro accounts which have low spreads with commissions? Either that or fixed spreads.
They are best for news trading, in my opinion.

It could be, but I've also read that fixed spreads have bigger slippage, is it right?

I mean, the broker guarantees the spread, but not instant execution, so slippage is bigger.

That's what I've read, do you know anything about it?

Hello Tradablity, could you please share some examples of brokers with fixed spreads (ofcourse that wouldn't matter if they have horrible slippage)
I am with pepperstone, but often they're liquidity providers spike significantly near news and volatile times. Sometimes there are gaps. Though they are okay with they're base currencies.

I've read these news trading forums all over forexfactory and the key for success is and always has been the broker.(how many problems they give you)
So the question of the best broker when considering spreads, slippage, reliability and speed are very important to us.

I haven't actually traded with pepperstone but have an account with them. Their are very slow to respond but easymarkets have fixed spreads. They are one of whom I am trading with and I tell you they are amongst the biggest scammers indirectly. They have huge slippage PLUS they won't allow the trader to choose their own SL/TP unless they are in agreement with them. Not to mention that they actually changed my account leverage without my consent once and who knows what else. It's been one hell of a journey making money from them and when my 300 to 400 % target is met I will shift out as fast as I can.
I trade news with them using limit orders and I am never close to my order although I have been positive on most occasions due to the large move of the currency pairs.

Trade is only market orders.
Sometimes used limit orders.
Advisor trawls profit.
