Hello Bk8. As You can see I am new.
Now I just have tried to look through the pairs. Can I ask what you think?
EG short - EU short - GY long - GU long - U Chf long.
But I think everything is sideways.
Can I ask you what You think?

EU short looks good to me
EG short - little late entry
GY - not sure about this pair
GU - Late entry
U/CHF - little risky but we can try

Here is another example why we should have sl pips away. My GU stoploss was triggered on breakeven after 120 pips profit but I forgot to add 15 pips and next day it triggered SL otherwise I could have made 200 pips..

I have A/U exit because its not going anywhere right now.
buy C/CH, sell E/N - E/U, buy G/J (closed just above consolidation), buy U/CH and U/J.

this candle is not one of them for sure, but maybe its time for the JPY to lose a bit of ground

E/N crossed the resistance but closed just 10 pips inside - think its worthy of a try.

I'll take a crack at this...the answer to all four suggested trades are no. In each case, the candle is making contact to the 5SMA line. If you waited for the candle after the four you suggested, that would be a sell as that candle is not touching the 5SMA line.

Thanks ranger! Just to add... Suppose first time candle crossed SMA.. you might lose this time but later it was kind of sideways so need to ignore other false alarms as ranger pointed out.

Thank you for the answer. But what you mean with "In each case, the candle is making contact to the 5SMA line"?

I understand that we trade after candle close the and cross of sma. And when there is a cross, than there is also a contact isn't it? Or do I miss something?

Hi All,
Been looking through this whole thread and I Like what I see.

from what I have read and understand of the rules. I have entered 2 trades off yesterdays candles.
Buy on USD/CHF
Sell on EUR/USD

lets let them run and see how they go.

Thanks Shaun for your feedback! I hope you understand that if USD is weak, both setups may fail
so techically both are kind of same setups

Yes we want to trade after cross of the sma but we want to make sure that the entry point is not a candle touching the 5SMA line. If the trade returns to the 5SMA line, then we start "considering" ending the trade as a possiblity. The OP wants to "verify" the trend by making sure that the price doesn't return to the 5SMA line criteria. When we "verify" the trade, we improve our odds on winning the trade but sacrificing some pips as Bk8 eluded to. Hope I answered that right.....
