More like at least 129. However, I just closed one and have a sell stop pending order below 132 if it continues or I'll sell on a retrace up.

Sell stop just triggered on GBPJPY and a re enter on GBPCAD as well. GBPAUD short is good too, but I never have more than two positions with same currency.

Honestly it's better to just learn how to trade on your own and not follow other people. Geppy just does this as a hobby, he's not a professional trader.

That said, he won this challenge weeks ago. The other guy topped up his TE on the first week because he margin called the initial funds in the account but no one here noticed it. He does that on all his accounts. When you see the transfer (black dot) on the equity low, that's a money transfer into the account to avoid a Margin Call. He did the same on the account below.

The way TE is designed the metrics don't reflect actual draw down on floating loss, only draw down on closed trades which doesn't give a clear measurement for risk of ruin or if a trader puked out the account.

I am really disappointed in Geppy trading style. Well, he has good entries for most of his trades. And he was up about 25%. Then he closed most of his long UC. I entered long UC @ 1.3080. And I still have it. I believe UC will go to 1.33 -1.34.

I will buy and buy UC. UC 1.27? Hmmm... maybe, maybe not.

It's funny everyone is ripping on me for the USD/CAD trade after we've talked about it over and over and over.

What's even more hilarious is that the trade is still very much valid, it just hit a point I was no longer comfortable holding my over-leveraged position.

I've stated elsewhere that I'm not touching this pair for at least 24h simply to give me some mental clarity. None of the technicals or fundamentals have been invalidated yet, but everyone that had been saying "Oh, it's obviously going lower" comes out of the woodwork today after having gone into hiding during NFP.

Too funny, and classic FF... a bunch of wannabes that continue trading their sub-$100 accounts into the ground thinking they're making progress. Cracks me up, really.

Best part, you all continue coming back to this thread because you have nothing better to do. This is my last post in this thread. Enjoy your time here.

Besides manipulating his Trade Explorers with custom start dates, he also stopped syncing them when his open trades went deep into the red, so his TE only shows the equity on closed trades, not the current account equity. Like these Trade Explorers below.

The last sync on the two bottom accounts was July 8th. Those GBPJPY longs were entered at 133.68 and 133.62, price is now 131.72 but the TE is showing a 0.1% draw down. The top TE was last synced on June 13th. By leaving disconnected Trade Explorers up without current live trades recorded, it creates the impression someone is making money even though all those accounts are in deep draw down or margin called by now.

The other thing is professional traders don't use TE because it shows too much technical information that anyone making money wouldn't expose. (trade timing, entry/exits, etc.) Professionals only make public third party audits to potential outside investors, earnings reports, 13F SEC filings, things that can't be manipulated. Not a Trade Explorer.

The other thing is TE only works with MT4. MT4 isn't a professional platform. It's not even offered by Tier II brokers. So the odds that some braggart on a forum showing you a Trade Explorer is a professional money manager are zero.

You're right. They both suck, and are borderline scammers. Neither should be touching other people's money or be giving them trading advice. At least this stupid competition revealed that.

The number 1 rule is : Never over leverage. If you are up 25%, then close half your open trades. It doesn't hurt you. After all, you are still up 25 %. Never wait until it's too late.

You need to find your own rules which fit with your trading style, for me i have several points that i need to follow:

- trade only with the money you can afford to lose.
- define your own trading style: scalper, intraday or swing trader ?
- money management, what come fast will goes fast, but if it come slowly you still can find workaround solution when it is moving away slowly.
- never ever follow anybody in forex, it is your money, it is you who decided what to do with it. Decided without regret.
making money is easy in forex, losing money is even easier...

yea if i knew the future there would be no need for money management. This is why I bet only 0.5% per trade in most cases

Now to avoid all the nagtivity in this thread, Geppy should remove his TE from this thread (keep it public and linked to other threads) and ask moderators to move this thread to recycling bin (equivalent of closing the thread).

I agree with you this thread should be closed. It is a distraction and has little of no value. I hope the combatants and the spectators would have learnt one or two lessons about the reality of a cool-headed and systematic approach to FX trading over the last few weeks. This market is ruthless and a trader should be well-prepared and systematic in his approach at all times.
