Background
It's no secret our new resident, GJscalper, has been causing quite a ruckus since his recent arrival to our humble forums. He has taken a particular liking to me after I posted a screenshot of my Brexit winnings the other week. GJscalper was the first to reply, and the conversation quickly escalated. This is the innocent post that resulted in his continuous trolling of me that we've all become far too accustomed to.
On July 12th, GJscalper said that he would match me with a trade explorer if I loaded one in. He said, and I quote, "put up or shut up". Well, GJscalper, I offer you The Challenge.
The Challenge - Quick Introduction
The challenge is simple. I have loaded a trade explorer with a $5,000 starting balance. I am challenging GJscalper to do the same. We will each trade our own unique styles so the community can truly see who is full of it (spoiler alert: it's not me).
The Challenge: Rules
The rules of The Challenge will be as follows:
1) Both paticipants (Geppy & GJscalper) must load a live trade explorer with a $5,000 balance.
2) Traders are expected to continue trading their respective styles: Geppy with swing trades at least a few times a week, and GJscalper will be scalping at the rate of at least ten trades a day. This is the approximate number of trades GJscalper was averaging in the only trade explorer he still has on his profile. Traders are not required to trade any one style, but traders are expected to actively trade.
3) Trade explorers, for the duration of The Challenge, must be public. That means both visible and "money and lots". If participants wish to keep pending orders, stop losses, and targets private, that's fine. But money and lots must be public along with the actual trade explorer data. If a trader deletes his trade explorer and does not make an effort to make his results public via other means (e.g. myfxbook, MT4 investor password, etc.) within 48 hours, that trader forfeits the challenge and the challenge is over.
4) Traders may not deposit more funds beyond the first $5,000 initial starting balance.
5) If one of the traders loses their account balance, The Challenge is over. The other trader declared the victor.
6) If one of the traders does not trade for an entire month, The Challenge is over. The other trader declared the victor.
7) If The Challenge lasts for at least 12 months, it will be considered a draw and can be terminated.
The Challenge - Conclusion
When the challenge is complete, assuming it does not result in a draw, there will be a winner and a loser.
A Geppy Victory
In the event of a Geppy victory, GJscalper will be required to write a public apology to Geppy and publish it on the following forum threads:
- Geppy's Geppy Thread
- Dragon Rider's Thread
- 3% per day with R:R ranging from 1:1 to 1:6 only GJ (GJscalpers thread)
- Cable Update (GBP/USD)
The apology will state, in GJscalper's own words, that Geppy is a superior trader, that he is not a fraud, scammer, or phony and never has been. He will gracefully apologize for all of his personal attacks and anything negative he has said about Geppy in the past.
A GJscalper Victory
In the even of a GJscalper victory, Geppy will be required to write a public apology to GJscalper and publish it on the forum threads of GJscalper's choosing. The apology will contain elements requested by GJscalper and this post will be amended when GJscalper communicates what he'd like those to be.
The Challenge - Goals
The main goal of The Challenge is not two fold:
1) The immediate affect of The Challenge will be any bickering between GJscalper and Geppy would be contained to a dedicated thread. This will prevent other informative and valuable threads from being overridden with garbage, personal attacks and silly feuds. For those interested in a soap opera, they can watch it here. I'm sure FF appreciates the added page views.
2) The second, longer-term, affect of The Challenge will be to completely end the feud between GJscalper and Geppy. Once a winner is determined, no more bicker is allowed.
The Challenge - Next Steps
I, Geppy, have already loaded my trade explorer and am ready to commence trading. GJscalper, please accept this challenge both verbally (via a reply to this thread) and by loading a trade explorer with a $5,000 balance. If I do not hear from you before trading begins on Sunday, I will assume you do not accept the challenge. If you do not accept, I can only assume it's because you do not wish to be outed for the losing trader that you truly are.
