Haha, I haven't been around here long but I'm starting to use FF as a bit of a contrarian indicator myself.

I agree with both Ill be back and geppy about account size is relative, our individual circumstance differ there's no one size fits all.
You've made some really good points today but I disagree with this one a little bit. I hold the belief that a person should trade a $500 account the same as they would trade a 50k account or else they run the risk of possibly developing some bad habits that could be costly if they ever do have a full sized account. That's just me.
u/cad trend is up has been for awhile nothing new there, timing for these trades that's another story

Is it difficult for people to admit they aren't profitable ?
I'm not a profitable trader ,still losing money ,and i'm working my best to become a profitable trader one day soon.It's so easy for me to admit it.
Funny how many people cheering this USD/CAD trade and regarding it as a genius trade .
Also the other trader GJscaper is attacking Geppy ,when he has no respect of his promises ,and denying his loss ,even if it's obvious that most probably he had blown his account.
Sometimes i wonder if there are really any long term profitable traders on this forum .
This is just my opinion with total respect to Geppy and all the traders on these thread.

So much misinformation here... where do I start?

First, I'm not a professional trader. I don't know why you said that or have it in quotes. I trade as a hobby.

If NFP had not gone my way I would have been stopped out at 1.2960 and my account balance would be about $4,200. I don't know where you the % DD's you state based on that information.

Yes, I am profitable. Keep checking my TE if you have nothing better to do. You'll see that yourself.

Not defending his choice but why does it matter how much drawdown he tolerates on his personal account? This was a competition and not a let me show you how I would manage your money kind of thread. Competitions by their very nature will bring out the more aggressive side of traders. Go big or go home so to speak.

I take Trades from the M1 TF my directional bias is dependent on the Daily H4 and H1 TFs on an Intra Day Basis.

If my Setup is no longer valid I exit immediately and look for another setup I don't keep adding to a losing position in the hope it will eventually turn around.

I am far more flexible to changes in the Market and I am able to react to them.

The more time you spend exposed to the Market the more time there is for your setup to become invalidated.

So, no I wouldn't follow my Trade recommendations because by the time I have shown them it will be too late to take advantage of them.

I don't trade short time frames because I prefer not to be shackled to my computer/charts simply to trade.

That is only your assumption.

I didn't say it was going to drop hard I said "I'd be Short also" not looking to go Short.

That's another assumption on your part.

I think you got lucky today with NFP going your way but that's Trading you win some you lose some.

From my point of view you were Buying from "Smart Money" as they were Liquidating (Selling) and building new positions to go Short.

Sadly this so-called duel is over with a KO... Martingale does not work, how many accounts do traders need to blow before they realize it? This was too easy for Geppy indeed... I was hoping for hard-fought, bloody, sweaty 12-rounder (: Congrats to Geppy!

I find the 2 minute timeframe rather good if you're sat at the screen watching the charts, when the market is going to turn it makes the very same pattern over and over and over and over. Predictable and exploitable. All anyone needs is the patience and discipline to wait and enter when that happens, but often you need to be fast with the entry as the pattern depends on a few of the previous candle closes to work.
