That might be right but any retracement will not go back to resistance 1.1235...notice the candle pattern. It turned at resistance and will head back down further next week...high probability! Another high probability is also that it will not see that resistance again for the rest of August. The move up may come in last week of Aug heading into Sept but it will likely run between 1.08-1.09 before then.

Hardly likely ...Only NFP could take it there after that it will be a light week of info for EUR until GDP on Fri. So downside is highly probable.

Next week is a big week for NZD rate change etc. It is likely to test the 0.73 resistance if it gets that far before heading lower with rate set to be cut.

May go below 0.70. For sure AUDNZD is likely to push towards 1.0850 resistance by end of next week.

The pair is still ranging within negative territory. I'm expecting lots volatility today but I don't think we will see below the 1.1000 level in the short term.

Just last week it was below 1.10 It moved up quickly rather unsustainably to 1.12 so I agree it must range downward in the channel before moving up in Sept. EURUSD is generally a ranger pair it typically takes 3mths to reach 500 pip target GBP pairs are way better trenders always a good idea to half your lot size on those pair notice how GBPJPY moved over 600 pips since last week and has lots more leg for the rest of Aug.

So I was doing my research today and well of course saw the 180k stated figure for the NFP which, if it does turn out to be the case, will increase the value of the dollar. This being said therefore should entail that going long on the EUR/USD for...say...the next few hours is stupid, not so? However after having had a quick glance at the technical indicators on Investing.com they all seem to showing "Buy" or "Strong Buy". How is this going to be a profitable investment? Surely going short on the EUR/USD is a lot more smarter if you intend on closing your trade, say, before the weekend. I am somewhat of a newbie and your help explaining this would be greatly appreciated!

Long term is definitely a fat bear in my opinion....

For the NFP-moment...well that is a coin toss I believe....as usual but in the end I expect it is ending lower then now....I'm just waiting here

Well yes, I know what you mean......correct bull or bear on what time-frame... are we talking?

Then: Let me say this....as you looked to my charts.... I think the 1.1233 could be the high for a longlong time.....
And ofcourse.... maybe I'm completely wrong, but that's also why it is my view . I only write down my view but I definitely do not give advise for a buy or sell...I never will!! Everybody has to do that by him/herself

For NFP.... coin toss as always.....but at the end it looks bearish for me and I think we stay belong the 1.1233.
Could be as high as the 1.1171 maybe the 1.1214 (but that would be a strong corrections of 84%...it can occur but not that often...) 1.1171 area is more likely in my opinion. The current high (1.1160) is a little low for a correction but we just saw an abc an so this could be the high also... I think we saw an abc now seen from the low...but it also can be a double... well this is a correction a wave ii and they are unpredictable.... that's why it is uncertain....time will tell...

Still nervous, however I believe that we are still bearish
And the little bullish retracement should end soon between 1.1158 and 1.1865 (correlates with fibo)
Also incase you sold before (or in fact at the very top of the 4h move) than I wouldn't recommend having stops lower 1.11965

In my opinion first of all we should see bear, setting up new low for today available levels are: 1.1097, 1.1080, 1.1063, after that hopefully bulls, to set new high of today 🤓
