not true, because you can also make money by defending, and at times even more.

I don't wish to debate on the effectiveness of progressive stake size as a money management system. But I do agree that scammers use martingale to hide their losses.

What's worse is that it's very easy to hide a martingale system with a bit of know how and understanding of probabilities and maths etc.....

Yes I agree, if a trader has little knowledge in trading using a martingale module or how to rescue your position then it is best not to use, but saying martingale does not work is just a very limited opinion for what I am concern.

I have never seen a true martingale strategy work. And if you do any reading about it, that's not surprising. It really does not work.

If you trade a martingale system, I'd truly love to see it in action. Maybe you're using something similar to Martingale that's not actually Martingale? Because doubling your bet every time you lose until you win (and then starting over), just will not work in the long run. Because eventually you will go on a losing streak that causes you to bet your entire account on one trade... and you'll lose.

That's true, unlimited steps martingale will not work no matter how large the account even if you start with 0.01 lot size.

never use back testing on a martingale ea also as they can easily be shaped , forward testing only - another trick in the Gjscammer hand book

That's true backtesting martingale ea is only to check the ea is functioning properly. Backtest results for martingale eas is a useless waste of time.

Yes it is not a pure Martingale, once my max loss limit is reached I am out, but is a mix Martingale module.
trading is simple but is simple is not easy.

Yes, but for the sake of the conversation Scalper he is not using a pure Martingale module, after 4 steps he is out...........he has a max loss of 30% but he also often makes 15% in a day......So I think you guys should pause a bit and recognize his style has some merits unless we are here just for trolling.....

That's why I recommended that he limits the cost of his 4steps to no more than 5%, then only will we be able to see his system perform within prudent risk management. Remember also that he achieved a 100+% gain last week.

His "system" has 4 steps because he claims the 4th trade (and these are his words, not mine) "can't lose".

Now, anyone who has half a brain knows how ridiculous that is. The 4th trade/step absolutely can lose and I've seen it lose for him.

The "max loss" of 30% is also a lie. He's taken losses of 77% on just this challenge alone. I've seen him take losses greater than 30% on previous TE's he deleted.

But back to his "system". After his 4th step, which can, does, and has lost (contrary to what he says), he simply starts the trade "sequence" over again using a smaller lot size and doubling it again and again if it continues to lose.

So yes, this is a variation of Martingale, but no it does not have any merit because he just keeps doing the same thing over and over until he finally hits a winning trade.

Very well put. Of course these guys don't see it because they are so stuck on the word "martingale" and fail to understand that they themself use it. The memeber skyway has brought up a very good point, which in reality I should use if my goal is to only make 3% a day. Once I get my other account funded, I will actually use that money management system, and the only way the system would fail is if I trade into high impact news, which of course could widen the spread and cause massive spikes before the 1m candle closes.
@GJscalper I've turned a new leaf. No more trolling.

Your so full of crap! Look through my trades and show me 4 straight trades, which all increase by at least 2x times! If you can find that then you are correct. If that trade was to be on equity curve you would see a massive dip and no recovery after the position. Your trolling is out of this world, so what you need to do is do your home are apart of #teamMartingale also.

Trust me, it'd be easy to find if you didn't keep deleting your BUSTO accounts. But you make it impossible by doing that.
