Hi,

Using parallel lines as channel is a good technique because price moves in waves.
try to locate the major price swing points using the APB and TDI as reference.
If your sell decision is based on the falling channel, that looks good and you have to look to the left for those horizontal support below and you will have to manage this trade(s) since your target is the lower channel line.

Tks for every instruction. Just one qustion. Do you close your D1 positions or let them stay on weekends? I have studies many posts and charts and now feel position trading on D1 can be highly profitable as long as I take a position in Method 1.

For Position Trading on D1 chart, you can hold your open trades over the weekend provided you have protected profits and there are no major events on the weekend which can affect the pairs you trade.
Last weekend was example there was G20 meeting so to be safe, I would close some positions in small profits and not give back too much to the market.

Someone asked me via PM: What is the next most important indicator I look at beside the the TDI?

Ii has to do with the ATR, volatility known as Chandelier Exit.

Screenshot of one TMS account - I posted last month the report on this one. I use only the majors EU, AU, NU, UC, oil and gold for H4 TMS single entry trades. I use tp 80 and SL 55 but bailing out is discretionary.

TDI and Heiken Ashi zooming out will make things so clear for everyone. For gold I take TDI trade setups off the H4 200EMA and H4 800EMA without stress.

TMS works well with price action and restraint it is a definite hit.

for now i use Synergy PRO _TDI + a) HA from Big E original posts

My question is - is it OK to use synergy pro tdi (or tdi realtime with synergy pro settings) with Big E's original HA candles or it is better to use Synergy Pro APB?
I want to keep TMS-5 original entry / exit rules (lets say original TMS) but use realtime tdi / synergy pro

If you want to keep TMS 5-Method original entry and exit rule based on the TDI Red Green (exactly like what described in Post#1) then you must use the indciators in Post#25. This is aggressive trading style of Big E.

However, if you want to trade the conservative style, then you use the TDI-RT realtime version and change the setting to 10,5,34,3,1,7. The APB versions remain the same and the only difference is whether you want to the 5EMA,Typical Price, Shift+3 or the Price Action Channel provided in the Synergy_Pro_APB.

In all cases, the basic rule is the same, i.e. to wait till the current candle close to confirm the setup.

The conservative style will keep you in the 'trend' trade much longer than the aggressive style exit. You need to know how to trail your trades with a trailing Stop Loss until the final exit.

Best way is to place both TDI versions on your chart and run live next week and observe the different behaviour of the TDI version in live market condition. Do not refresh you chart - no changing of chart TF which will refresh all indicators, no re-starting MT4 platform which will also refresh all indicators and EAs, etc.

Hi,

Looking at your ME entries, you did not use the 0.5ADR(100) pips distance for your ME trade distance.
The ADR(100) is 126 pips, )
you ME trade distance should be about 63pips apart. You trade ME#3 is too close to ME#2.
Therefore when your ME trades are too close and your total risk is higher. You need to watch your margin level % and the drawdown when the price retraces deeper.
Look at my D1 chart below, the recent swing low to swing high is 393 pips. Considering the depth of the retracement of 50% to 70%, what is the maximum risk?
If the drawdown is 10% then your total risk is already too much. You should cut loss immediately.
The dynamic cut loss level on Friday Jul 29 is 2 xADR(100) below the 10EMA Close of Thursday Jul 28.

Overall looking at last Friday' market reaction to the CAD and US data, that move down is too strong and we should look at Monday opening and how it will trade. If that move down continues, then cut loss.

Big Picture Week 31:
MN - we have seen July month closed and a new month opening. MN is sideways and narrowing range with Jul Inside Bar. watch the 10EMA.
W1 - sideways but to the upside, with rising channel. PA above the 10EMA. maybe better look for H4 swing trades next week within the rising channel.
D1 position trading still buy bias.

No. I don't use any of the TMS OSC indicators.
If you use them, your setting must be the same as the TDI setting on your trading chart.

I download one indicator called "ADR_V2". But it only show 20Day.

you don't need any speial ATR indicator.
simply use the platform ATR and set that to show 100 period on D1 chart timeframe.
just select, drag and drop the ATR from the Navigator folder into the same sub-window of the TDI.
the ATR data will be shown in the sub-window and also in the Data Window (Ctrl+D)

Hi,

you don't have to use 0.5ADR all the time. But you need to know how many ME trades you want to place with max 2% risk and the depth of the possible retracement.
Remember the average number of ME trades is 3.5 should be one factor to maintain.
I also use 0.25ADR and reduce the lot size and have up to 9 maximum ME trades on D1 chart trading. But I watch my drawdown very closely and avoid hitting above 5%.
More often it is better to cut small losses and look for re-entry and then scale-in later when the trend runs in favour or when there is breakout.
