Prediction is USDCAD going to retrace down to 1.3100. With the retail news coming out positive for the CAD, no reason for the pair to be running up further.... UNLESS FOMC raises rates. Either way, the "Smart Money" will move it down either way... If rates increasing they will move the USDCAD down to get better price for the eventual upward move. If no raise, the decline will happen also.

For now the pair is still quite bullish and testing the resistance at 1.3170. I don't have any positions open at the moment though, I might wait to see what the results of the FOMC statement will be first before I open new ones.

No clear direction.Watching OIL closely .. SHORT open already (1.95 lots)

Yes, if oil price halts its fall n starts rallying, and fomc does not raise rates.

next resistance at sight is 1.3300 region, however, lets see if there's any reaction at 1.3250, we might see a retracement from there.

Oil Brent shall probably bounce on around 43.43

fib level of the all bullish move from the bottom.

UC is hovering around a previous minor resistance 13223 on the daily.

I also short it at 13178 and waiting for it to come home but could go to 13300 before as it is a major resistance.

Lets see oil heading there but cad not reacted so much

OIL is still in 43.xx area. So cad will go upto at least 1.33.
If today's US consumer confidence data shows decline then cad might come back to 1.3150-30 zone, then again upto 1.33, its oil price that will run the usdcad.

I keep expecting to see an effort by oil to bounce. It's been smashed, especially last three trading days, but no sign of a bounce coming yet. All the hype says oil is retracing because supply is exceeding demand, but that was also true when it did it's big run up. Fundamentally, little has changed. It seems it's all up to the big manipulators which way it will go. Anything negative can happen in the unstable Mid East and oil would reverse up from here.

Something I would like to share with everybody. Yesterday I read a book that resonated with me a lot for many reasons but anyway today I have tried out this strategy of scalping and basically made so far 22.5 %
This is how it works .

place bollinger bands on a five min chart , standard setting

then wait for a candle to pierce through the upper band or lower band . after it has wait for a five min candle that either goes below the piercing candle and place an Sl above the top of the piercing candle then a TP of 20 PIP.

same if it pierced below so you wait for a candle to go above the top of the piercing candle and place a stop below the bottom and TP 20.

I took 6 trades with this strategy and all of them winning , in a couple of cases it actually went further the 20 pips so if you are there look at it and maybe do 22 pips or more

I would also like to find someone to code this strategy so that it could become an EA . If anyone here knows a coder I would like to test it automated .

anyway happy trading to all.

Most of trades taken on UC and I basically traded every wave we have seen today so far waiting for the next setup which could be soon since we are close to the top band right now , ( LIVE no DEMO )
