i do swing trades too, and easily spot 1-3 opportunities every single day on m30-h4. i aslo scalp whenever i wish or feel insecure. You can't have too much success if you don't know how to scalp out of "bad" trades. Scalping makes you a much better winner, also mentally.

I agree that when there is no trend, it creates this type of equity curve for swingers, but in less than 2 weeks GJ has made a massive spike upward. Not to mention GJ is known for bouncing around like "round ball". However your longs are in a nice green right now, so your equity curve is getting better. Once you finally catch the top or bottom of what you believe is the next wave you'll earn like 500-1000 pips on one of your orders and your account will storm back in green. The one thing I like about your trading is that your a swinger, but you have no bias towards any one direction.

This has already been discussed on the previous page. The trade was closed already, but for some reason the TE is still showing it.

It's impossible for me to have open buy and sells in the same pair seeing as I'm a US-based trader. They don't allow hedging for us.

Great thread. Good Luck to both

GJScalper is more or less trading within his strategy with great results. Current conditions favors him.

Geppy somehow lost his focus, pitching way outside his zone even straying into semi scalping/Over trading mode. I expected him not to trade today based on the current GJ Price action which Not at all swing trading friendly. The fact that he has executed 81 trades in 3 days indicates some sort of peer presser/revenge trading.

But in any case, it is too early in the 12 Month match, I am sure Geppy will get back to his real game and this thread will turn out to be real gold for rookies

​It's not all over. GY has not moved this week so far, but trend will start sooner or later and hopefully Geppy will be positioned to rack pips. Gscalper is doing a great job, but the race is not over. Doing that publicly and with real money, you both have my respect !

The reality is both Geppy and I stand more to lose by being each other's worst troll. We would not only lose respect from fellow FF traders but many of our messages will fall to deef ears because of the way we treat one another. The reality is I as a scalper and he as a high tf swing trader, will give rookies the chances to see the main difference between the two styles of trading and allow many people to make better decision as far as the trades they take.

I personally stand nothing from "teaching" anyone anything, but if I share my charts in real time, it will allow people to scalp along with me and make profit/loss exactly as I do.

Geppy/GJscapler, First thanks again for this thread. I'll join the audience, as I'm interested to see if either one of you can end a 12 month period profitable.

Until you've shown that you can do this, you have no proven success rate, and any confidence you have in your ability has not stood the test of time.

Anyone can have good run for a month or 2, even 3. But the reality is, most traders here (I include myself) have not proven that they can hold it together for a year and remain profitable.

So, I admit I'm still a work in progress.

However, if you already had a year of profitability, you could simply upload the trading history, compare it to each other, and already know who is the better trader. But since you don't have this, you both still have to prove it.

I sincerely wish both of you success moving forward, and that you both end this contest profitable.

You are right I am a long-term Trader because trading is one of my income streams. I have a full-time job, I have investments in properties, stocks, and other business interests. When I was introduced into FX in 2008, I fell in love accuracy of the Price Action, especially on the higher time frames. That is why I am still here today. A currency pair can remain bullish or bearish for months. For example, the fall of the Dragon commenced since August 2015 after hovering under 200 for about 3 months. This gives time for adequate planning and stress-free trading.

As I mentioned earlier you have a TRADING PLAN which appears to be working for you so far. I consider this duel a real-life case study and I want to see how it would evolve over the next few months.

No one needs a proven trading history statement. That is a wrong thinking especially for new or struggling traders. No one needs to prove anything to anyone here, we are all here to share or learn strategies. If my strategy works for me, does not mean that it will work for you. If you are a new or struggling trader, what is the trading statement history got to do with you wanting to learn others trader strategy? Nothing at all. Also if a profitable trader shows the statement, that is actually bad for a new trader because that new trader will think that he/she will be profitable and can cause the new trader to blow their account really fast. Especially if a profitable trader uses larger lot sizes. I never checked Geepy or GJscalper statement, all I look for is strategy and charts like I post sometimes on other threads here. If I test that strategy and it gives me positive results, I know what lot size and risk/reward level is good for me. You understand what I mean?

You are right. No one needs to prove anything. But the whole point of this thread is to prove something, no? Hence, my point. Traders who feel the need to compete with other traders feel they have something to prove, otherwise, they would not be competing.

I don't have a problem with anyone who feels they have something to prove. But my observation is that if you DO feel you have to prove something, it is because you have not already proven it to yourself...

I see what you mean. I don't think that trader should compete in this because after all this is business a job a career that brings you income. You compete in sports in martial arts not business. That would be the same as me and you open restaurants and we compete who is going to have more customers with advertising along and so on. I have approached this career as business long time and that is how I treat it. I learned a lot from it and been doing this full time for a while now. The more you do it the more you become better at it.
