Disliked{quote} sevan62, applied your RenkoVdub back test to the H4 chart (2015 - present). {image} Unfortunately, my modeling quality was poor but going back and looking at trades manually on chart, I believe has potential. *adjusted lot size increased drawdown and profit obviously.Ignored
DislikedHi Sevan, Need your help to make this EA based on my idea. (please see the attachment) So the rule are: 1. OP sell: 1.1. When the opposite brick color already above the Bollinger Band (period 50) 1.2. When the Stochastic Osc > 80 OP Buy: 1.1. When the opposite brick color already below the Bollinger Band (period 50) 1.2. when the stochastic Osc < 20 2. TP --> once the brick touch the EMA 21 line 3. SL --> once the Opposite brick show. Many thanks for your kind help. Regards, Andre {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Andre, Observed your idea on renko charts without EA. It is good in ranging / sideways but will lose during trends. BTW what does it mean the fourth and last blue "no hit" on your screenshot? According to your rules buy losing order is to be opened here.Ignored

Disliked{quote} I assume what Andre means by the fourth and last blue "no hit" is -yes that's a valid long entry, but it "no hit" the target and was stopped out at loss.Ignored
Disliked{quote}Adding another indicator to differentiate between a ranging and trending market would be good but I don't know of any that work well. ADX (or DMI) comes to mind but I haven't found it to be "edge" material.. -Indeed, any indicator which is able to differentiate between ranging and trending market conditions (with some precision) would be holygrail material.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Just getting into forex trading. I have been looking over the threads in strategies forum. Is anyone using these automated strategies? I see you have a lot of replies here sevan62, any insight as I comb through these threads?Ignored
Disliked{quote} not to waste time on auto trading. Auto trading is not the point to start with even if you are a professional programmer. Just my 2 cents.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Dear aTeam, welcome to forex and FF! But be aware that imho forex is the most complicated market for making consistent profit. What is more it has almost no regulation and single price feed like for example stock market. That is why any broker may open your order at any price with any slippage or refuse with requote. But it doesn't mean that you can't earn some pips here. There are some good working tools/techniques such as price action, support and resistance levels: BRN (Big Round Numbers), Fibo levels, Pivot levels, SnR (S1/S2/S3/R1/R2/R3),...Ignored
Disliked{quote} If we are at the mercy of brokers, then even an edge is not enough so why still trade forex and not move into futures which offer better regulation ?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Sevan, This is kind of confusing given the impressive back testing reports in post 1722. With those kinds of results it would seem your EA would allow one to earn pips with minimal monitoring.Ignored
Disliked... IMHO what you have to care more it is the total number of deals in your back-test. I don't trust in results with less than 100 deals. It is a high probability that such results will not continue in future. The best way is to have 1000 and more deals in back-test, good is from 500.Ignored
