I try to wait. Look the USD Index. ( And crude oil that bounced of 50 level )

Should have gone in earlier as you did. Has taken a short now at 64.25 . with 1/3 off my full position. Will average down and hope non farm can spike up.

Great minds think alike . I wanted to write that I added 1/3 now at 64.58 and I saw your post. Strong resistance above on the hourly chart, hopefully oil will stop falling. It has already fallen to 46.60 so I dont expect oil to fall much further. Let's see how it plays out

Was taking out my position now in small profit. It was not the best entry I got. Try to get in again on spikes up. Oil dropping but Rubel showing strength. Also USD is showing strength . So for now on the sideline. Possible death x on 4H for oil. So if oil dont head north quickly we will have a death X. ( The golden X on 4H tf we had in the end of february this year)

according to predictions of analytiks oil reserves had to go down to 2.5 million, but it reduced to 6,7 million yesterday.. yesterday rub falled..from 63,8 to 64,6 in three hours...and I was at work at this time....

Short update on the USD/RUB short trade: In both the daily and weekly time frame the trade looks good. There is the level of 63.39 that needs to be broken but considering the weakness of oil at the moment it is difficult to expect USD/RUB to forcefully go through it. In the meantime we are making good overnight money. The longer term good news is that once oil resumes the uptrend we will see USD/RUB below 60. Patience and low leverage is the key

Just curious how many pips does your platform pay you daily. Mine gives 1.6pip per day. or at current rate of 64, $2.45. Of course they charge $4.01 for long.

1.45 pips, I get paid 22.6 USD per standard lot. You have better rates than me

USD/RUB trapped between 63.5-64.5 roughly.

we might get a slight bounce now at 63, but not to worry. The downmove is intact

Any reason for the 62.8 area move right now? Oil did not go up that much today.

RUB is heading towards the "fair market" value now?

it jumped down rather good today, I didn't expected it. It seems that it's the good moment to sell rub...I think the line will rise in a few days

I added 25% to my position at 64. The downmove is still intact

Good call, if I understood correctly that you wanted to buy USD/RUB after the drop to 62.8, although I didnt see anything in my charts that would have justified closing the short in USD/RUB. By the way, my monthly chart is about to give a sell signal, something we havent seen since 2013 when the USD started rising against the RUB getting away from the 32-35 range.

Started to scale in/ average down to positions again. only in with 1/3 . Oil is in strong sell on all tf technical and US Index strong. So saving bullets to higher levels. Waiting for turn on minimum 4H tf to add more positions.

Actually the USD Index and USD/RUB do not have any strong correlation long term. It is Oil that prevail.

And here is support. So lets see. Hold or break. Has added a sell limit for additional position at USDRUB just above 66. If we get a clear break I will consider hedge my open positions in USD RUB with shorts Oil. Actually get positive swap from shorts oil too
