Hello Everyone,


ICMarkets pays 614.24 RUB = 10.22 USD for a 1 lot USD/RUB short position.

This is for 2017 July 6

Does anyone know a broker, which pays a bigger swap?

Check XM, Tickmill Hotforex they credit sweet swaps on USDRUB and USDZAR, some of them even offer zero swap accounts to avoid paying negative swaps if I recally correctly.

What strategy are you going to shoot with?

They will blacklist you esp if they see your are long USDZAR or USDRUB, USDMXN for no reason. Because your not being charged a negative swap on the buys , the assumption is that you are hedged with another broker earning positive swaps on your ZAR, RUB shorts

It depends on what strategy you use. Swap arbitrage seems to break rules in case hedging is not allowed. But entrying before the daily candle close or other strategies may work if you find way to handle spreads..

Do you have accounts with these brokers? Could you please tell me the swap they pay?


I am just going long RUB, my stop is above the all time high.
If you go long RUB, that means selling USD/RUB ?

I think tickmill has better swaps for shorting USDRUB

With a standard FOREX.com account, you could have earned over $50 in swap on a 1 lot USD/RUB short position on July 6, 2017. Note that represents multiple days' worth of interest applied that particular day to positions held through trade rollover time (5pm New York Time). For comparison, today is a regular day for swap/roll, so you would have earned $1.78 on a 10K (1 mini lot) USD/RUB short position or about $17.80 on a 1 lot USD/RUB short position that was open at 5pm New York Time today as shown in the screenshot below from our FOREXTrader platform.

Hotforex pays About $25 on 1 lot USDRUB short.

Tickmill offers zero spread account
