This is nothing strange. Although they are in the same region and trade a lot with each other. You can't say they have the same fundamental.

For comparison, US, Canada, and Mexico. Well, Canada and Mexico have almost the same fundamental, but nothing alike.

You know currency is like a product. One day they give you 20% off. The next day you have to pay full price. On another day, they hike the price by 20%.

Depends on the luck. If lucky, you get 20% off the same product. If not, you pay 20% hike of the same product.

The thing is we don't know how much a product costs. We can compare with similar products.

It's both AUD and NZD. All Wednesday AUD was the strongest despite underlying risk-off and no major (or minor) AUD news. Today AUD giving up the gains and NZD is at pole position among the major 8.

I would have thought the basics are pretty easy:
1. Choose your timeline
2. Take snapshot of recent price movement
3. Buy in roughly bottom 35-40% of the chart, sell in roughly top 35-40% of the chart
4. If you use stop losses set them outside the zone or at say 5 and 95% levels.

eg I've chosen a 4 hr chart
Without doing the math, buy below 74c, sell above 75c

eg2 To get an idea of what you might have been doing in the lead up to that period I've also attached the prior snapshot. If you were using stop losses in lead up to Brexit you would have got stopped out. If your risk tolerance allowed you to add extra positions you would have gotten some great sells!
