Immigration was not the min reason for the Brexit vote. It was about people feeling sick and tired of having no say in the decisions made by
the EU..

The liberal media in Europe as well as here in the States are hollering racism and xenophobia, islamophobia, etc It's all smoke and mirrors - the elites who control the media and buy-off the politicians, just don't like people striving for self-determination. They prefer docile little sheep who do what they're told.

You are talking rubbish, ask any economist (or anyone with half a financial brain) if a currency is in freefall what is the first thing you would consider to help stop the freefall. Raise interest rates. Turkey did this in 2014 to stop freefall in the Lira see here (www.reuters.com/article/us-turkey-centralbank-rates-idUSBREA0R1W420140128). Mark Carney (Governer of the Bank of England-if you didn't know) also mentioned in January that in the event of Brexit, he might have to raise interest rates due to the United Kingdom (soon...

The BoE has done its share of scaremongering to try to prevent a Brexit, but now that it's happened, watch and see how suddenly everyone becomes more pragmatic. This isn't simply a case of trying to prevent capital flight, or keeping inflation under control in an overheating economy. If that was so, then yes interest rates might rise (about time too I might add, I'd have liked to have seen them rise a couple years ago). However that's not the case. The BoE these days seems simply concerned about economic stats, not about the value of the pound. Think about what they did during the financial crisis. The pound was falling big time along with every other "risk currency", did they raise rates? Hell no, they lowered to 0.5% and kept it there 8 years and counting, or however long it's been. That's the standard response to events which could hurt the economy: lower rates, pump liquidity into the markets, calm things down. Not raise rates!

The hilarious thing is that now the EU leaders are saying that this is a wakeup call and they need to address the concerns of the people, make sure they are flexible towards the needs of various member countries... well guess what, Cameron went to them earlier this year with a very limited set of changes we wanted, and they basically told us to fuck off. Eventually we got a few watered down versions of the things we asked for, but it just wasn't good enough. Maybe if they had addressed our concerns instead of assuming we'd just settle for the crumbs they gave us, we wouldn't have voted to leave!

To all "remain " supporters,

You lost. Get over it. The people spoke and they decided on freedom. Now to those of you who wanted to stay in the EU, I quote Samuel Adams:

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

"Many "Leave" voters in the UK were unhappy with decisions being made for them in Brussels by unelected EU officials."

I just read that on CNN. I was shocked! The lame-stream media isn't supposed to say things like that. They're supposed to yell racism, xenophobia, etc. Someone at CNN actually told the truth! Well, don't worry , liberals - that writer will probably be fired soon. Then you'll get what you like - liberal lies, half-truths, and pandering from Clinton, Warren, and all the other left-wing LIARS.

Brexit valued UK First than both EU and the rest of the world. In a pay back, it may be UK Last from EU. Most of them complained of job competitions from EU job seekers, little did they knew that most employers in UK are from the same EU. In longterm, it may be difficult in doing business in UK rather than EU members due to law of large numbers, readily available market with less restrictions. This may lead existing companies in UK to shift that businesses to the remaining EU members. If this happens, then we will talk of job loss and increase of u nemployments.

Secondly, some members of UK may also fight for their fredom. This will reduce both the populatin and incomes. As as result, no doubt that UK will be reduced to Britain. Consequently, GBP will automatically lose it value and purchasing power given that it holds the record as the strongest currency in the world. Then Britons will dig their pockets more to purchase what they used to purchase before.

Thirdly and final, we are left in uncertainty of UKs' future and the rest of the world. But most economists will predict a possible UK recession. And if the situation won't be controlled (through another referendum, Bremain) as soon as possible, then it will spread to EU and US too. Finally, the rest of the world will be in for it as victims of circumstance.

Second referendum, what a joke. You can't change the rules after the fact just because you don't like the result. You can sign the petition all you like, but you lost the referendum, the country voted out, and that's that. Then the talk of property prices dropping... as if that were a bad thing. By my observations, London house prices have gone up by 50-80% in the past few years. The sort of drop being predicted would put prices back what, to last years prices? Heaven forbid! It's already stupidly unaffordable for most, which is distinctly not beneficial...

Well I love to be as cock sure as you about the future in Brexit?
You say a second EU referendum is a joke?
Do you dismiss a second Scottish referendum within two years also as a Joke?
You of course know that the UKs EU membership was a major factor in saving the UK in the last Scottish referendum?
By Indicating clearly to Scottish voters that leaving the UK would mean that they also left the EU and would have to go through a 5 year reapplication process?
Or that they may not have to worry about that on a rerun now that "UK" (England & Wales)has decided to leave the EU and drag Scotland Northern Ireland and London with it?
Oh and are you aware that initially in 2008 Ireland rejected the EU Lisbon Treaty? Which effectively ment their leaving the EU?
Or that a year later they held a second referendum based on amended terms and a sharper realization of the consequences, that they passed?

All the warnings of unintended consequences by experts from all quarters have been dismissed by Brexit leaders.
But over the next months and year/s as those the realities will become clear, the unintended consequences, and dangers that brexit poses not just for the economy of the UK but for the very fabric of Great Britain as a unit may make all this look very different.
And bring into question whether there even WILL there be a Great Britain in 5 years time or just a Great England &Wales?
Brexit has solved nothing for the UK. Its just opened a Pandoras Box.

Experts? We haven't had a single expert predict anything correctly about economic crisis for decades. These experts have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Well no one is cock sure about EU!!!! Its the only bloc in the entire world that is declining economically , aging and unable to react swiftly to any crisis. Why would we allow ourselves to be chained to this corpse?????? No accountability whatsoever,,,,, they haven't had audited accounts for over 18years!!!!!!

Scotland have not met the entry requirements to be a member of EU. This is something they need to work on,,,,as it stands now I don't think their application will be accepted ,,,,as the EU will need a country who will be a net contributor to replace the UK. Switzerland who had an application to join the EU and would have been a net contributor decided to withdraw their application recently.

We will have a rocky few years ,,, but we will come out more stable and competitive in the world. Most of all ,,,we are sovereign once again!

I can see traction for a second referendum,,,,, pathetic!!!

On the remote off chance that the Remainers somehow manage to pull this off, and we end up with a second referendum,,,,, all the Leave side have to do is not show up to vote and the turnout will be a whole lot less than the 72% turnout we had which the Remain side suddenly have a problem with.

,,,no it wouldn't meyoik.

London would have to absorb all the costs of the EU which has in the past been shared between the whole union - Northern Ireland , Wales Scotland and England. And the entire costs are well over the net 10 billion Sterling that we actually spend annually on EU after factoring healthcare, housing and schools.

Doesn't look that great now does it?
