Forexcube perfectly summing up his own attitude, thx for that!

Stylinex, thanks for freeing this thread of all that pretentious fantasy-trading spam.
Claiming 35 k profits for May, showing an Excel spreadsheet as proof , yet scalping around nervously on an account with a few hundred bucks, showing while in profit, hiding after going too much into minus.
And the list could go on and on...

{quote} I am curious as to how you are able to sell those you purchased from that date now? According to my broker they all expired on Friday at 19:00 Beijing time or 1:00 PM Frankfurt time.

If you trade CFDs they do not expire ... they just add or withdraw swap points on future expiration.

I have opened CFD's orders on DAX since 2016.04.22 and still open ... just I got positive swap from my broker last Thursday whey the future expired at market close.

That was why I asked because I did not know what he traded. He could have simply answered. I was not familiar with those which was why I asked. I guess English is not a first language for many here which leads to misunderstandings.

I have never lied about any of my posts or trades. When I lose I will say I lost as I often have said. When I make money I also share.

I had asked a simple question because Forex futures expire every 3rd Friday of June,Sept,etc.. And if someone bought a regular futures contract then the position would have been closed on Friday unless it was a different trade that I did not know about. If there is a way to trade those I would be interested in learning about them. It was a simple question so a simple answer would have been nice. I asked a question and did not make a personal attack. There is a difference. Below is a picture of futures expirations.

Depending of your broker and you account ... there is brokers that on a future expiration, what they do it's to close the contract and open a new one, charging you the difference ... that's all.

This is new to me, I did not know this. I asked my broker and was told that all positions automatically get closed at expiration and we would need to open new ones after on our own as brokers can not open new positions for you on their own.

I wasn't talking about you, Stylinex, I'm sorry if that wasn't clear.

Forexcube is just so easily offended, yet often he will patronise others. I just would expect otherwise from someone claiming a degree in Psychology. Anyway, many of his posts were hilarious, so shame he left.

Seems you missundestood me ... brokers that trade CFD's based on DAX futures, they do not close your position ... they just ADD or REMOVE swap points from the position, based on the future expiration ... but your position remains the same.

For example XTB do that.

Could be seen as a CFD that instead of having a rollover each night ... have a rollover each 3 months.

I guess there are some brokers that offer this feature. I will look into it. From what I know is that most major brokers do no offer this feature. Forex and Onada for example close positions out at end of futures expirations. The ones that usually do not expire or get closed out are currencies along with Gold and Silver. Oil for example expires on a monthly basis.

It's cool, I caught on
I can understand someone being unhappy over a personal attack out of the blues but I simply asked a question about a trade he posted as I was curious. It was simply a quetsion about what he shared with us. I thought this was supposed to be a place where people come to share their trades and info with others

Stylinex are you restricted by the rules that govern US citizens? I know the US brought in rules a few years ago that prevented US citizens from trading CFDs or direct forex.

In Aust, we just trade the pure forex charts and brokers such as Pepperstone, IC Markets, IG Markets, SAXO Bank etc all allow that. I think maybe there is a restriction due to where you live or your nationality? I don't think futures trading is very popular here at all any more as trading the market directly is so much less risky as we are not constrained by expiry dates etc, we can enter and exit trades whenever we like.

Trading forex directly might be something for you to research?

cheers Cath

H1 DAX. Price broke out of the, "wrong", side of my channel. When price does this I often note that it falls back into the channel and reverses it's trend.

Dax probably will hit around 10080 then we will likely see a retracement to 9800 imo. Hope someone bought dax on the dip on Friday.
