There is beginning a disconnect between oil and Canadian dollar. The oil price is beginning to stabilize. Only the cheapest production will make profits at this level - e.g. Saudi Arabia. Add to this the damage caused by fires still not fully under control. It's a sorry picture.

USD/CAD is still climbing. I opened longs after it broke above 1.2900 and my target is 1.3000 which is (EMA)89 on the daily time frame.

Yep, I got pending sell limits at 1.3014, hopefully we will get there first before heading down to 1.29.

1.2833 is a massive monthly level. 1.2818 is a big fib level. If daily closes under both of these, bears are in control in my opinion.

Either way, I already have a short position open. Not to mention that there's a big doji candlestick on the daily time frame, which is a further indication that this pair will continue falling.

Looks like an Asian broker feed. UK and EST daily bars show higher close.
