I would, however, like for you, if it's possible and not too much of a trouble to consider adding a news filter which has a granularity of less than a day. Say, the ability to instruct the EA to refrain from trading X minuted before AND/OR Y minutes after the set time, or maybe even a filter saying something like "Don't trade X minutes before/after RED/ORANGE/YELLOW news", checking say, FF's calendar for said news' time.

News filters can be confusing and I am not entirely convinced of their effectiveness...

What if there are trades in play prior to news and you've shut down your ability to trade or have the logic manage trades?
Granted, nothing new would be added, but when do you actually resume trading?

The idea of closing the day to trading and being able to select trade times, will effectively do the same in that, after any news period, you can just disable a time filter or turn the day back on...gives more user control and if you aren't there to turn the day back on, less risk.

I agree with the less risk but take UJ for example, according to your chart, this will be the only day this week that is safe for trading it, now, I don't say taht closing shop and not trading for an hour during the news is the best thing, I'm just trying to see if there's an angle for me here since I would like to intervene as less as possible.
I don't want to sound greedy, but my calculations are these, EA has to make around 20$ a month to break even (on the promotion license), that's, at least 20 successful trades per month, now, if I look at the calendar, there are less than 20 trading days per month, I'm not sure I'm approaching this correctly.

Anyway, it's made 16$ in a week and and a dime so maybe this is all moot.

And just for the record, I'm gonna leave the demo to trade all week, let's see how it's handling itself with three days of consecutive red news

On a side note, are you alright? You seem a bit off with everything that's been going on with the licensing and all.

The license thing...well...it is what it is...I've just a lot of shit going on at current, including prepping for an Audit over the next 6 weeks.

Ugggggggggggggggggh!

Definitely keep the flow of ideas in play...It took me a while to even adopt a time/daily filter, but now that I see it in play, can definitely appreciate the value.

That was interesting, was watching one of the demos that was in big deficit on GBP pairs, they bounce up then started back down and the logic closed them all very quickly with a big gain. Very cool logic!!!!

With exception to a couple of the CHF pairs, all on 28 pairs is running smooooooooooooth!

I think I seen close to $400 draw at one point this morning, but sitting at about $100 draw currently.

Overall...28 pairs being martingale managed on a $3k account...flat out fucking Bananas!

Loving it!

Question to be sure..
The restricted trading hours setting. If i set hour to start as (CET) time now 22 and hour to stop on 5 will it start right now on Monday will it run until Tuesday 5 in the morning? Or are these setting strictly for day x. (Looks like a stupid question i know )
It is not trading at this moment. Could be the case for 7 pairs that they are now all in consolidation period. Also deleted time variable ones but that doesn't seem to be related.

I believe this is exactly how it works, but in all honesty, I've only tested the Day filter, not the time restrictions.

As long as the day set to true, it should start at the start time and end at the end.

So maybe still a coincidence that it is still not trading after 22 or it's because I activated restricted trading with time 22 around 23:00 for example. So what I mean with this is that the hour cannot lay in the past when activating it. Mmmm will see tomorrow. Let you know the outcome of test in production heheh

What is your current broker time?

Can you save your set file and post it in thread?

I just want to confirm settings.

Kinda of strange but seem to be getting lowest floating DD on Hotforex. I am now running same setup on Hotforex, tickmill and roboforex.
Will keep monitoring and let you know how they all fair.
Having a lower latency also seems to assist the system, guessing the added latency is adding additional slippage.

Interesting.

Is this taking swap, commissions and roll over fees?

If memory serves, HF has a larger spread but no commissions, where as Tickmill has commissions but a tighter spread.

Sorry, I missed it in you post earlier...if you wouldn't mind posting your spread sheet, that'd be awesome.

This week is shaping up to be one that I will need as much assistance as I can get.
