Im gonna play with the fire - the couchsurfer EA is active since friday on GPB/USD just because of the brexit possibility. Looking for a few fast spikes.

I should say that 7 pairs should need at least $ 1. 5K from what I've seen in 6-7 days untill now to keep yourself out of a margin call. Just a simple dirty average math based on 1500\7 pairs = 215 $.. is then for example for 28 pairs a minimum of $ 6K.

Without the option to shut down on days with High Impact news, I would say you are absolutely correct.
From Iresh through to 2.5, a Minimum 3k account has taken about everything the market has thrown at it, so having 1.5 in the account with sitting out questionable days, is probably spot on.
Trading the 28 pairs...
I honestly have no clue.
I've only tested these for a fist full of days and really haven't seen much more than about $350(ish) in draws...actually was $300 when I saw it, but as previously stated by Spencer, hit $330.
Would I personally trade all 28 pairs?
Probably not...but it will be interesting to watch.
My cash is happy growing at the rate of 7 pairs and these I can control and manually intervene on.
The nice thing about the daily filter, is that it will close all trades on a single pair if, when in trade, you turn trades off for that day and select Close Immediately.
Would I do this?
Depends on the situation, probably not, but still nice to have this built in vs having to apply a CloseAll EA and then reset everything.
I am setting up 2 accounts with the 28 pairs for forward testing, using the commercial version of the EA.
Account 1
Default values as per the free version, shutting down high impact news days.
Account 2
Default values, but taking playing opposite the daily roll filter as Account 1, Closing all trades immediately, not using the wussy close and shutting down high impact news days.
Account 2 is set aggressively for 28 pairs and a $3k start, so will be really interesting to see if it can actually survive the week...well, both accounts surviving the week would actually be kind of interesting.
I should get somewhat of a reasonable market sample for the market cycle these are running and can always either increase the account size for future testing or cherry pick the pairs in trade.
This thing has morphed quite a bit from the original Falling Knives logic and even using the Iresh as a starting point.
Nice to have a few new ideas to incorporate and see if/how they maintain growth and minimize draws.

And yeah, takes a little time to go through all of the settings, but to maximize performance and look for the highest probabilities for prosperity, the time spent should pay off.
Looking through my own set up, I went through and rechecked all days again. Found out that on Wednesday, I am killing all pairs with exception of EURCHF...that's going to be a rather boring day to watch a 28 pair trader...
Still have my 7 pair and 16 pair to monitor without shutting them down, run as normal...this should hopefully keep my attention.
