I need to know what is ALPARI LTD and if this what does this mean? I dont understand why now I see the adverts everywhere if someone here knows please. I know people still waiting for their pmts on more sites and now they are a broker again?

Well, what I know is that they have several divisions/departments/companies under the Alpari brand that are not that much connected. So if there are porblems elsewhere it doesn't mean there are problems everywhere with this broker. I may be wrong though.

Ok I also have been reading this now that it is a different company or there was different compay made for each country and the laws there. Like I know that oanda has different companies for japan or australia right. This is like people have first and last names so LTD or UK or is the persons last name and oanda japan and oanda australia are two different people that just have the same first names

Ahh.. this thread reminds me some bad old memories, i really hope that traders who invested with alpari uk have got their funds refunded as it was really bad day but i guess every one has to let go off their losses and keep on trying in order to become successful. However, it's good to learn from the mistakes and should not repeating them by putting a lot of money with any broker. I use more than one broker and the main reason is to diversify my funds, the good thing is that I am now trading with profits as my principal is already recovered..

jollypk did you trade gbp yesterday or right now with your many brokers or did the alpariUK make you not trade and did you get all refunded before?

alpari uk has long gone .. the alpari you come to know now would be from other country and most probably regulated by the country where it is being registered .. for example alpari russia and etc .. so you need to contact them about your fund .. if you are being scammed then the only solution i think is to contact the regulatory body of the country where the company has obtained its licence from.

I traded on Alpari during rather long time, but then tried other broker and found out that it was faster than Alpari. So I left, but it seemed to me that alpari was constant and sustainable broker.. and now am reading all this posts and understand that it was right decision to leave it. In any case I am sure that its better to trade with several brokers, at least two

Most traders got all of their money back (notwithstanding exchange rate fees in a number of cases). The FSCS ensured that outcome. A small number of traders cases have yet to be resolved. The affair demonstrated one thing in particular: The FSCS despite much criticism ensured that traders got their money back because they protect up to 50000 GBP per person with a company (not per account with an individual company). It took over a year in many cases but it did happen.
