here's another one for a 5 digits account..

Pardon me for asking but.. is it possible to test it on StrategyTester to observe how it work? I have tried it with the default setting (Grid Spacing = 3.0) however the behaviour is not as expected. The order were 0 pip steps apart from each other. I have changed the Grid Spacing to 100.0 but still seeing the same behaviour as Grid Spacing = 3.0. The account is 4 digits on EURUSD and it is showing Gold on the bottom left corner of the chart.

The only backtesting period that would be available is this week as the date to trade was limited to prevent folk from breaking rule #1 on posting backtests in my thread.
That just pisses me off...

What you may be seeing is the pyramiding taking place as it somewhat ignores the grid if the trade is going in direction of the trend as recognized by the EA.

Try setting the time delay to a longer value, current default is 120, as in seconds as in 2 minutes.
Increase this value to 900 and it shouldn't take subsequent trade inside of 15 minutes and only after 15 minutes if the rest of the triggering logic criteria is present.

I don't think there should be issues in testing on a 4 dig broker...but I haven't verified this personally.

On GJ there are 3 sells open right now which went over 4€ in profit - since those trades were not closed, I wonder if there is some sort of trailing in place? I didn't change the TP of 1.0

The TP value is a Minimum value required to close trades and is conditional to the closing logic.

As the triggering is dynamically based instead of a "True Grid", so is the exit logic. Iresh has several criteria that it processes when looking for an exit and is dependent on how the current position is being read.

Is there counter trades in action?
Are the trades still in direction of the Long/Medium Trend?
Is the minimum profit achieved?
Has the correct trigger in meeting with the trend/counter-trend logic present?

Iresh was designed to both cost average and pyramid in direction of a trend, take losses on change of a trend if a predefined dynamic retrace criteria has been satisfied, close all trades in the event of the Stop Loss Value being present and lastly, the Drag the Dead, where when specific criteria met, close all trades at mutual profit.

The template in the folder on post 1 is to lend some of the optics that Iresh uses when trading.

It was provided as a learner template, as in, if you watch the success of Iresh, you may be able to gain a sense of this methodology in trading the same criteria, manually.

Have a look at the Gold chart and Iresh in action.

It is currently running with Fixed lots, still haven't corrected that from the start of week as I wanted to see how it would continue to play out.

1. Notice this area where Iresh didn't take any trades. As the criteria for cost averaging and pyramiding was no longer present, it stopped looking for longs and started looking for opportunities to short.

2. When the minimum dynamic retracement criteria was met, all longs were exited.

3. Shorts held their position because they were being used to counter hold (nedge) the long trades. After the longs had taken exit, shorts could now find a suitable profitable area to exit.

4. Both longs and shorts were present, the long trend over took the short and subsequently more cost averages on longs than on shorts were present and strong enough to close all trades in the "Drag the Dead" mutual profit area.

5. The long trend was no longer strong enough to trigger Iresh, so it sat sidelines. Trend changed and the following sets of trades were short.
