I think it will be at least another week or so.
The ADX now checks the trend of the previous day to advise if to buy or sell.
I'm just doing some research on past performance to which pairs NOT to trade
The SL and TP now uses the ADR to assign the levels

I'm just wanting to firm up the rules in my head before I print and issue them, so like someone said earlier, we stick if the system to see if it's good for a long term trading system.

I know we are going to have losing weeks etc, but I need to make sure overall it's profitable.

The system works if you close early, I've proven that in last months trading, but heart is set on creating a "set and forget" Away From Keyboard system.

I'm taking my time, before I issue out. Meanwhile, use the v3 rules with the multi time frame EMA's has a filter ans close when your in profit

Update to Forex Breakout Direction Indicator & EA v4

The Indicator and EA has been updated, however for the next 14 days I will trade the v4 rules and settings and post on here. If successful then this will be rolled out.

(I don't want to roll out a losing system, however if any fully paid member wants v4 beta now let me know, but please be advised, I am still "bug" testing the EA so would not advise trading on live accounts. Once v4 is 100% confirmed, then this will be sent out to ALL fully paid members).

Two new accounts have been set up. v4 trades with Conservative and Aggressive approach. Both results will be publish here using MyFXBook.

Risk / reward has been edited to improve the lost on losing days. Learnings from v3 was that order 3 and 4 rarely hit the TP's, so these would stop out out by either closing early or hitting the trailing stop. So in fact if these orders hit stoploss, then the risk /reward was low, as the trader would risk 1% of each order only to gain 0.5% account growth or lower on profit days.

v4 now uses 2% of the account, 1% on order one and 1% on order two. Order one is R/R 1:1 and order two is R/R 2:1

v4 now uses Average Daily Range Indicator to set SL and TP's. Range is also set to 33% of the ADR. If the range is above 33% than the ADR value then it is not a valid trade.

v4 trailing stop / step is now set via ADR

Conservative v4 only trades on 100% signal and only on pairs with no news
Aggressive v4 trades on 100% signal and trades on pairs with news, but moves SL to breakeven 15 min before news is out. (The v4 EA has this function). Aggressive v4 also uses the OCO (one cancels the other) setting on the EA

Both systems do not trade is there is a UK or USA bank holiday

Trial for new members is now set at USD$10 for the indicator and USD$11 for the EA. Trial versions last for 14 days

Today we are on a sell on the CADCHF with the Forex Breakout Direction Indicator v4 Conservative system, with the Agressive FBDI v4 system with have CADCHF, GBPUSD and GBPCHF using OCO (one cancel the other) settings

my account did not trade cad/chf. was it suppose to trade on set and forget?

I've didn't trade on the signal start account, just want to firm up the system to make it more profitable, then wil start trading on that account again

I traded these on the trial of v4 Aggressive approach, which trades regardless of news.

Still not 100% happy with the new v4 system/ rules, will update and roll out when I am. Still doing lots of testing...

When I created the Forex Breakout Direction Indicator I wanted to make a system that you could "set & forget" which lives to the value of the company name, Away From Keyboard Forex. The indicator and Ea was born, then quickly adjusting a few settings / rules v3 became the finished article.

Trading with v3 shown that, if the orders was "managed" by the trade and closed manually the system became profitable. The danger is that a losing day could wipe out all the good of the profit days. The risk / reward wasn't set up correctly.

I then starting focusing my effects creating a truly Away From Keyboard set & forget system. Using the ADR (Average Daily Range) to set if the pairs tight range should be traded, stoploss and take profit levels. The risk/reward is now set at 2:1

I learnt, and was feedback from other traders that when I developed v1, v2, v3 i changed the system too much, too fast, hence three versions within two months. I made a commitment to myself to launch v4 when I felt it was ready, not rushing the system, to have some results to proven that it works.

Traders however have been communicating with me, wanting me to launch v4 asap. It seems I can't please everyone.

v4 is set with Conservative and Aggressive approaches, yesterday Conservative approach banked 373.9 pips 6.42% account growth, Aggressive approach this week has banked 261.6 pips 3.11% account growth, albeit week one was a losing week.

Ideally I would like to test this for another few weeks, however it seems traders want this now instead of waiting. I will start to write the PDF for v4 as it is now, and send out to all customers of v3 by Sunday 12/06/016
