The way this pair is resistant from falling refers to something hidden we don't know...Anyway today we'll know.
Probably something is in the COOK if not today announced probably next month.

The dollar is strong and so is oil, its almost like it cancels the downside of the pair

Isn't a dovish tone of unchanged rates supposed to be bad for the loonie, why is it eating the USD up?

Just a long-term view on USDCAD, despite market sentiment on USD strength. The major upward move could be in couple of months. Combination of trend view and supply-demand view.
