Hi,

I am new here, last 2 weeks I am reading this thread, I read all Big E posts and then skipped to the end of the thread to see what are you guys doing today. Emmanuel and other experienced trader what is your advice what should I learn next. How I understand TMS method, you look for the green red cross with a good angle or if the green is bouncing from the red, if there is a cross you can consolidate with a stochastic. If the trade is valid, you look how far the candle is from the support/resistance lines, is the signal from TDI the same as the general long and short term trend, size of candles too small avoid the trade, enter the trade only if you are on the first or second candle of the trend, the trend is goind to last on average 4-8 candles. You can exit the trade when the green is closing to the red, when there is a hook. trading on a 4hr chart

Am I wrong on something, what rules am I missing, what is ME/ME etc. Is the Big E setup still the way to go, strip everything from the TDI except green and red etc. What next should I learn, sorry if these are dumb questions

Just take a RSI(13) and make the line invisible. Then add a green simple moving average(2) and a red one (7) in the RSI window.
The yellow line is another simple moving average(34)

On the fxcm trading station for mobile, the Simple moving averages are called Mva.

Bridgewater,

You have been making some nice indicator/identifiers that can be quite useful for TMS trading. HTF IB Breakouts can be lucrative if traded correctly, thanks for your contributions .

Best,
N

Hi there everyone

As you probably know, Lastingwell (Heather), about a month ago posted to her thread ( TMS for Newbies Part 2 ) that she had some family business to take care of and that she would be back soon. Heather and I have been in email contact for many years and in a recent email she let me know that her mother had some medical issues that she was going to assist her with. Little did I know (but now it makes such perfect sense) that Heather wasn't talking about her mother, she was speaking about herself. Heather has always been very humble and never wanted to draw attention to herself, and this is one of the qualities that made her become the great and completely ego free and unselfish trader that she became.

This morning I received a very sad email from her family (that I will paste below for you) to say that Heather passed away on May 2nd..

This is a big shock to me, and I feel very sad to have lost not only a great trader, but also a great friend with whom I shared many of life's tribulations not even related to trading.

Heather was one of the few talented and humble people who I know first hand had 'made it' in this business. She was not 'flashy' or ego driven and in fact I know that she did some wonderful things for not only her family, but also for other traders she only ever 'met' on line.

Heather was not only a great trader, she was great human being and the world will be a little darker without her. I will miss her a lot and all you and I can do is remember the simple and effective way she traded......by keeping things simple and remaining humble.

RIP Heather (Lastingwell)

================================

Apologies for the intrusion but we are going through my mothers emails, we have heard her talk about you many times and we are sorry to tell you she passed away 2 weeks ago. She apparently had a kidney infection for quite a while, which went undetected until she was in a lot of pain and had to seek help. By the time she was admitted to hospital she had sepsis and was put onto life support. Sadly she was unable to fight it and passed away on 2nd May. Would you please be good enough to pass this to the forum she posted to regularly as we are sure there must be some who would want to know what has happened. So sorry to put this into your hands but we don't even know where to start.

Thank you so much for any help you can give.

Warm regards

Heathers family.

For now Emmanuel is busy so I will take a crack at your questions. If you are committed to trying to learn something more. Click Emmanuel's name and read all his posts for the last six months. If you do this you will find that ME/ME is a money management method that means multiple entry and multiple exit. TMS in my opinion a template that is designed to make your own. There are many different ways you can tweak it to your own liking and most traders often do so in small ways, but to be honest. all the indicators you need are the ones you mention in your question (however for a true signal with original tdi please wait till candle is closed and stick to the 4hr candle when learning). If you are interested in more; once again, look into the last six months of Emm's posts and you will find all the extra info, books, or indicators that you might want to try. Big E's rules as you have laid out are fine; but remember he had 6000 hours of screen time to gain the experience necessary to trade this way. Trading TMS is simple, but mastery of it is something else entirely; much as is trading forex. If you have other questions you can PM me if you wish... I rarely read many other posts except Emms, but as he is busy this weekend, I am trying to help out. On the other hand it is always good to get your feet wet as soon as possible. Set up your demo, indicators, and screens and start trading. The skills come with practice and don't get frustrated with some losers. just post some trades and we'll get you straightened out. Good luck

Regards,

LL

My deep condolence for the family.

The Measure of a man: Not - "how did he die" But - "how did he live" Not - "what did he gain" But - "what did he give" These are the units to measure the worth of a man, as a man, Regardless of birth.

Rest In Peace (Heather - Lastingwell)

Very busy week in Singapore with many meetings with many great traders here. Lots of fun trading live the past 2 days with a few of them and not forgetting the great food every day but the al fresco dining in such humid weather need some getting used to.

Trade Well folks, always trade with stop loss.
