USd is getting weak.Unemployment increasing and job creation decreasing.No way under this conditions Feds raise in June.Not this year with election looming...
If anything I am holding my shorts to 125 then 1.20
There are no fundemetal drives for UC to get to 1.30 and above.If there is let me know.
Just a tip guys its not always in the charts.Read some fundamentals.

USD actually found decent support @ bottom of 2 year range on weekly, so not so sure about the weakness. UCAD definately will have a hard time pushing above 3000 though.

Usd Cad is up 300+ from the USD index lows

Nice daily pin bar and engulfin bar... ready to test 1.30 next week,

"After falling for 3 straight days, USD/CAD finally rebounded against the U.S. dollar. Oil prices struggled to extend its gains today as investors realize that the IEA’s forecasts for supply and demand changes nothing about the underlying issues with supply and demand. Given the recent trend of global economic data, we are not sure if this forecast is accurate particularly since Iran will continue to flood the market with supply and early this week Saudi Arabia said they plan to increase production. Meanwhile the supply disruptions caused by the wildfires in Canada and attacks in Nigeria are expected to short-lived. Oil is headed lower and USD/CAD is headed higher with the commodity likely to drive the currency in the first half of next week. It won’t be until Friday that Canadian dollar traders turn their focus to the economy with retail sales and consumer prices scheduled for release. Spending is expected to fall sharply and inflation is expected to slow – 2 factors that would confirm our positive outlook for USD/CAD".

Then IF that SUP holds and it breaks this 1.3000-3020..... then: 1.3200-3240 and even 1.3300-3340 possible.

Interesting piratachile, but it's more relevent to the longer term and hypothetical. Today oil is going higher, above last week's close, and likely to stretch. I'm short USD/CAD

I am noting what is happening to all commodity currencies and looking at this H4 chart in conjunction with news which is up in 1+ hours. Another trading opportunity is tomorrow's Crude Oil Inventories and FOMC. I have also noticed the decoupling of this pair from the oil price, somewhat.

It's clear that the above quoted zerohedge article has some creedence (thanks piratachile) unlike their usual headline grabbing hyperbole. This time it is a copy of quite a scholarly article. I have been long this pair for some time now because it's obvious that with plentiful oil supplies at various expenses of extraction the oil price is going to stabilize, at least temporarily - at what figure I do not know - but l am guessing the effect would decouple this pair from being overly influenced.

The pair has decoupled from the oil prices.Canadian economy is not in a good shape and a rate cut is likely.On the other front,Us economy is gaining momentum.As a result,this pair has a long way,but only to the upside !

I'm long from 1.26, it's consolidating now.
