TMS ME/ME trades closed May 6. ( 9 weeks from Mar 3 to May 6)

Closed some trades before NFP on Friday.

Just wondering if anyone can help me. Been trading this for quite a while now. Have some ups and downs like most people do I guess but last week I got stopped out by the aussie news. I was 30-35 pips up before the news, got up and put the kettle on only to come back and I was 30 pips down. Probably a little more as I have a larger SL because I've been getting whipsawed out recently.
Anyway I decided to add in the forexfactory news indicator and noticed in a recent post that a member had the news in his synergy pro indicator. I've searched here, google and youtube but cant see how you can attach an indicator to another indicator other than the price bar chart.
Would appreciate some help to this frustrating problem...

I too want to be part of a winning team.
The words you highlighted reminded me of a lot of things Van K. Tharp has written about. Simple words, but significant work required to master them.

I’ve attempted to address some of the points you raised by drawing on some materials by Van K. Tharp and Tim Wilcox, elaborating on your highlighted points.

In “Super Trader”, Van K. Tharp writes that there are 5 Steps to Consistent Profits/Peak Performance:

1. Work on Yourself.
- Personal beliefs about yourself (strengths & weaknesses)
- Market beliefs

2. Develop a Business Plan as a working document to guide your trading.
- Work on yourself (see above)
- Understanding the big picture influencing the markets you trade
- Markets, instruments and timeframes you will trade
- What are your daily procedures?
- What is your personal education plan?

3. Develop Several Strategies that fit your view of the big picture and understand how each of them will perform in various market types.
- Develop a trading system that fits each market type you plan to trade that fits you
- Technical vs fundamental?
- Trend following vs scalping?
- Entries
- Exits

4. Thoroughly understand your objectives and develop a position sizing strategy to meet them.
- Position sizing models
- R-multiples

5. Monitor yourself constantly and minimize the number of mistakes you make.
- KISS
- Are you following your rules?

Yes, of course. Dr Tharp has written a few books on achieving Peak Performance, but currently i am working through his studies on Position Sizing. It's great material, but dense and impossible to rush, at least for me.

Yes, 9.8% for the week but currently with a 3% floating loss.
What I want to do better in coming weeks is to know when to close a winning basket and not to start a new one again. The floating loss is from baskets closing in profit but then opening a new one.
What I will do is to monitor trades better once they reached targets as per BP planning and I am going to look into targets around BN.

I suppose you were talking about me. It's always a good idea to use the quote function, because I am not always reading everything. By quoting someone, it will appear in his notifications feed.

My BBP on AU Please correct me if I'm wrong Thanks
Weekly - engulf down but I think it's up trend correction at R/S (demand) with prices are around fib50
Daily - reversal to down trend prices are below 10ema and around monthly R/S
Weighting between weekly & daily. I will go for weekly correction
I didn't look closely - Mater candle at H4 with doji sign.
so prices might be ranging for a while so be CAUTION!!!!
B/O master candle is the real directiom.
Waiting to PA & TDI confirmation on H4

BBP on GU

Weekly prices are above 10ema Main direction up
Daily prices are around fib50 & 1.44000
H4 were around dynamic R/S 200ema & 1.44000 (now 1.44220)
My direction go for long target is using BridgeWater indicator
SL 10pips below 200ema on H4
Please correct me if I'm wrong

I want to be a part of the winning team, but I do not know yet what I need to do, if they are dedication, willingness, efforts, or belief then I do certainly have them. If the road map is ready, I am ready to change my life. Have you finally made the decision to start your own thread or is this important post somehow related to the one post back in late 2015 where you said "TMS will be a lot easier in 2016, trust me"?

My view

Short

There is no set ups on daily or weekly to consider any long plan at this point. ALL i see the correction finished on the other side. I will be waiting for price to pull back near the box to look for opportunity for short.

Hi Cata, thanks for the tip :-)

I actually had the indicator but I noticed on your screen grab that you have yours off the price chart and sitting on your TDI indicator. I tried dragging the indicator onto the tdi but it keeps placing the calendar into the price chart. I also like how you have the ADR in the TDI as well. Its nice and neat
