There is always opportunity in the market. In forex there is about 5.5 trillion daily overturn, the highest daily overturn in trading. Forex market is 24/5 minimal or no commissions, leverage small deposits can turn bigger profit, high liquidity and also free education and demo accounts all over. For example today there was a lot of opportunity in intraday trading/scalping. The moves are there, you just have to catch them. To answer your question, yes we are still here and will be here for a very long time. Possibly even when some of us retire one day will still be trading a bit. I know I will about 20-25 years from now, when I decide to retire, I will still trade forex. I hope this answers your question.

You are confusing liquidity with opportunity.

5.5 trillion/day only means your order will be executed right the way. But what is the point if the market does not move?

We used to have over 150 pip day moves CONSISTENTLY !!!

Now those crappy 50 or 60 pip day are the normal. What it does is to raise your risk factor, you have to put more money on the line to compensate for smaller moves.

Thank God for other more volatile markets!! Personally i can't make decent money on forex as i used to !!

I disagree. Forex will always have a lot of opportunities compare to the other markets. Sometimes it gets slow like any market but forex is still best to trade. Also there is always more opportunity in forex because stock or penny stocks which my advice is you should stay away from penny stock, is pump and dumb.

Easier said than done. It is always easier to show past history on platform. But if it works for you all the best. Also I noticed on weekly you bought EURUSD, how long are you planning to hold? Just curious because I do not trade long term. Where is your stop loss and take profit? I will attach couple of my intraday moves.

My Intraday Setup
(classical approach)

NFP Friday? ...range until NFP

tech:
- downwards trend line angle still significant;
- trend may continue on early hours down to Monthly&Weekly Pivots zone, @1.1375 ...even DS1;
- ...or range until payrolls between DP and M℘
- daily shooting star suggests stronger dollar yet;

fundie:
- low ADP making more tense today's payrolls reporting;
- big boys gossip: US dollar stronger.
