Having such a concentrated position becomes an EASY target. Essentially your showing your hand.

1st Lot if position is 1% in your intended direction

2nd Lot if Position is 3% in your intended direction and so forth.

hmm.. it will be slightly different.. he'll have around 81.6k once margin hit....... the margin requirements is different.. its a fixed 4k per lot... so 40% margin would set it at around 81.6k

Doesn't matter if it is a concentrated position or down 2500+ pips that's very ugly whether your called or not.. I guess at this point you're forced to wait right? sheesh

For U/CAD 51 Lots is probably a very concentrated position and as such would be an easy target. Again, it is better to enter such a large position in steps as to keep your hand close to you. If you lay it bare you will become a target.

I hate to say it, but current markets are as "straight" as a sine wave. Someone in the market probably did a high five when they saw his 51 lot order come through all at once.

ah.. thats the thing i'm saying.. its not a calculated margin requirement.. its a fixed one... regardless which pair.. 1 lot will require 4k margin at 1:25 leverage... i used such brokers before... not sure why its done this way though....

sorry.. let me change this a bit.. its not regardless which pair.. rather.. all usd based pairs are calculated with as such... 1 lot requires 4k margin fixed... only when the base currency is not usd, the margin changes...

It's a tiny position. In the future I'll take $10T+ positions. Probably within 30 years.

51 Lots in such a tight band is not a small position in U/CAD.

1 Lot = $100,000 position
51 Lots = $5,100,000 position

a 5.1 Mil position for an account bearing 0.25 Mil is a target for market makers.

In the market it is tiny. Probably $250B+ Canadian dollars trade a day. Not worth it buying billions of USD/CAD on a move to margin out someone who has a $200K account.
