well, this right now is pivotal. If the uptrend line gets broken on this piece of fundamental data, we could indeed look at a return to the downtrend. Perhaps wait for following statements on the data..if any of the RBA guys will make any comments suggesting a shift in mindset (or whether they're just dismissing this data as a "blip" once again)

Strong impulse to the downside indeed. This could signal that the party is going to be over for AU.

We not only got slow growth last qu but we got deflation this qu. The target of 3% will be no where in sight.

The only reason why we got a rise in the first 2 qu is because the rise in smokes and alcohol. To me this is a false rise and will do nothing for the economy.

Will this prompt the RBA to lower rates?

As price has been rejected off the weekly trend line I think further aud appreciation will cease.

Commodities will hold au up for a couple of months but they will ease then Aussie will fall hard. 0.60 here we come.

if the fed leans to the hawkish side I'm pretty sure the sellers will get aroused even more. But if they remain dovish I'm expecting aud the will consolidate around this current level until the RBA meeting next tues...that should provide the final lead for the next direction. Imo.

Babypips or analysts do not control forex market. Matket will take its course. No one can determine next move. Just figure it in your mind the formation of strong hammer/inverted hammer. It's a price movement that changes its direction all of a sudden. Many factors affect currecies we're trading. Gold price appreciation/depreciation also affects AUD, what about Chinese economy in relation to AUD. I do not believe he posted crap here. Don't allow websites and analysts to determine when to click buy/sell or exit. Do your analyses yourself. Gold and AUDUSD monthly chart still strongly bullish.

I honestly think the targets at 7850 - 79xx are still intact.

Will be watching 2 levels with buy orders:

7550 - will buy if it reaches there
7680 - will buy back what got stopped out if it returns to this level on high volume.

In short, nothing has changed.

Fundamentals are starting to creep in and fundamentals are crap and ultra bearish.

Bearish it is long term or at best neutral we can say. Nothing has changed since the lows, numbers are bad and shorts at 7000 and 7500 are still stucked with losses. So nothing has changed, long term is still bearish but the pair needs more consolidation to move down.

did someone just cash out big time on their longs, or are the sellers jumping on a pre emptive strike for tommorow? 2 more levels before i call it a sell off, 75.9 and 75.35.

Nothing has changed on the longer TF charts.

If dip comes after FOMC, will be buying bear 7500 - 7530. If we get a buy up beyond 7680, gonna buy some as well.
So not shorting this pair.
