Won't be surprise if it gets back to around your mentioned level. The area around 7790 was the previous level for the bounce up to 7830.

If bulls reclaim that level, chance of the pair testing 7700 again before FOMC is low.

Hmm, at the moment, nope. If it breaks above .80, then it will be rather strange to see AU going up since Jan2016 with only slight retracement. And provided that RBA is still very comfortable if AU is at .80.

no doubt there are some stops at 7780 hiding behind the 4hr swing high.
We have come down from the retest of the major ascending Monthly TL and while the weekly is not overly convincing yet, it seems like worth a shot short as the extension looks to have maxed out atm, with a strong bearish 4hr candle and TL break
Will see how it goes.
GA looking very strong also but so is the pound

Yup, i will definitely be a bear near .79xx - .8xx. Definitely not at current levels.

Weekly and monthly can ruin good setup on daily. Their s/r levels and Bollinger Middle Band can spoil daily setup. When the three face one direction, success rate is high

hahaha, I'm out until after fomc. I'm still on the bullish side until and unless that lower uptrend line is broken. If fomc turns hawkish, it may be broken. So I don't want to get caught long...or caught short if fomc disappoints. I'm just hoping aud drops to the 76s and then we have an fomc disappointment. That will give plenty of room for bullish long entries!

I agree, it's pretty undecided at the moment. I think that it might fall back to 0.7700 again, but apart from that, it's unclear.

Banks cutting housing loans to foreign investors
Consumer confidence by Roy Morgan poll bad.
Budget blow out of $23 billion projected
House prices falling

In other words the economy is stalling and RBA wont budge from their stubborn view point.

Something has to happen as foreign investors keep pouring money in blindly.

The rush for the exit gap is narrowing.

We saw it with the Japanese investors way back in the late 1980's.
